Definately a big plea for standing areas. The more south and east they are located, the more intensive is the aversion against furniture

It was sad to watch and to see so many other video's in this style. It's actually abusive to these kids...what in the world creates an environment were people think this is acceptable behavior?

this video was made at my husband's high school alma mater: http://vimeo.com/16546469
it's really long, but such a cool concept! my first thought as a teacher or mommy though was, "geez, that's going to take a LONG time to clean up!"

That's why in supermarkets, the meat area is the best-looking one. No one wants to know.

Flipping through some youtube links...finding a ton of EARLY EARLY EARLY DIO. I've listened to Dio since the 80's, but only recently have I heard these old classics.
RIP Ronnie James and thanks for the years of great music!!!

Technically not a video...but an interesting link. US Census population breakdown, with regional, city, community ethnic breakdown. A friend sent this to me as a note for Pastors and Church Planters (Of which I am neither) ... But I do find the demographic breakdown rather interesting.
The sad part, is realizing that something like this will effect perceptions of these regions. Perhaps a bit prejudicial, as we tend to make judgments based on perception when in reality, these groups are made up of unique individuals who happen to have an ethnicity label that is out of their control.

Turned out to be one of the best stories I have ever read. After posting this video, Ted Williams was given a full time job and a home by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Two music-related vids:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oloFLyel3Is . Columbia Univ girls acapella group singing Dr Dre's Bitches Ain't Shit. Quite funny .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WIpUu5iIIs . Nine Inch Nails early this decade at a private rehearsal, rehearsing a song for the first time together. By far my favorite song of theirs....completely instrumental. First ~2 minutes is Reznor going over stuff with them, and then the last 3+ are basically a full run of the song. Pretty interesting to see how a big-name band puts a song together in its early stages.
