Casspi
So multiple internet sources (for what those are worth) are reporting that the Kings could be shopping Casspi, though it'll likely come at the cost of taking on one of their bad contracts. Mavs could offer up Butler's expiring, along with some cash, future 1sts, even some youth like DoJo & Ajinca, in exchange for Casspi and, say, Udrih. That's an expensive backup PG for the next couple seasons (albeit probably better than Barea), but we get a STUD SF who could be the #2 guy on this team. Thoughts? Would the Kings do it? What if we took back Udrih AND Garcia?

I like Caspi... but he is having trouble nailing down the starting SF job on the woebegotten Kings. It might be a bit of a strtch to call him a STUD sf.
that said... I like him, and part of his problem is the overall problem with the Kings--- Westphal's complete inability to stick to any sort of plan or line-up. THey have alot of youth, many of whom have potential, and he just keeps dicking them around and confusing the hell out of things. |

I like Casspi as a 6th or 7th man, but if we trade him with the intention of him becoming our #2... not good.

He's really not all that great. He's definitely not a stud SF, and definitely not a #2 option. He's a hustle guy that can play a few rotation minutes here and there on a good team, but that's about it. Casspi isn't the type of impact guy that we're looking for at all.
