Dallas-Mavs March Madness Tournament Challenge
Is anybody interested in ESPN's tournament challenge for college hoops? I went ahead and created a Dallas-Mavs group.
You'll need to go to the front page first to create your first bracket (you can make a total of ten per account). Once you create, then you can join the group. Search "Dallas-Mavs.com" or just go directly to the page. The password is mavericks.
You don't have to be any sort of expert. I'm not. Trust me, the winner is going to end up being the guy who guesses on 60 out of the 64 matchups, just watch. Its how these things work.

(this is just a glorified bump so that people see this thread on the front page of the board since the bracket has to be filled out by Thursday...)

tcat, you might want to remove the "&entryID" part of the direct link. It thinks I'm you and is giving me the option of removing all the other entries.

Some of you guys have two brackets in our group? That's incredibly bush league. I understand having more than one bracket...but more than one in the same group? Gtfo.

The Zags are doomed. Might as well turn it off. The refs are in love with Fredette and wont give them a call.

Cut the lead in half. Can the Zags play enough D to get back in the game?

Pittsburgh killed my bracket.

I created the group, and personally have no problem with it. You're allowed up to 10, so two seems trivial (and I mentioned that 10 were allowed in the first post, too). I technically have two, although I never filled out my second one. I had planned on it, though.
Next time, I'll either make it clear that more than one are allowed, or limit it to a certain number, but with what I presented above I don't think its an issue this time. As mavs777 said, its not for money or anything, nor is this a long lasting D-M tradition that a ton of people care about. Its just to have a little fun.

I knew they were the weakest 1 seed, thought they would lose early, yet still had them in the Final Four for some reason. I actually make several bone headed decisions that, looking back, I don't understand at all. Had Xavier making it to the elite eight and had Belmont upsetting Wisconsin (chose that upset before all the hype, but after they got the hype I should have changed it because hype is never a good thing).

Texas did get screwed on the five second count, not disagreeing. But I picked Arizona to win in my bracket for one reason: Derrick Williams. With a game changing player like that, I just couldn't go against him, and it turned out that reasoning what spot on. What a crazy shot to win the game.

Wow, great job, Cadbane. Nailing two of these Final Four teams, on your only bracket, is a mean feat. Kudos.
I managed to win my pool already, thanks to Kansas being eliminated today. Nobody has anyone left. I was able to eke out the win based on the first two rounds. $265 profit to me on a $50 bet...I'll take it!

Thanks man, you too. What are you going to do with the winnings?
I shouldn't have went with my heart and picked ND, but I really liked their team. Otherwise I would have picked Kentucky to win it all. Fortunately, no one had VCU-Butler in the FF, so that pick was mitigated somewhat. If Florida had made the FF I would have looked even better.

If Florida had made it, I would have been beat. There were two guys who would have passed me if Florida had made it. And there was a guy who made the same picks as me, except he had BYU beating Florida. I needed Florida to win and then lose, which they did.
As for my winnings, I am going to donate them to charity. Isn't that what you are supposed to do?

I have a couple of nieces, age 9 and 10, who play some basketball. Occasionally I catch their games. Their skill level is comparable to what I'm watching in tonight's NCAA final.

College basketball is starting again. At least we will get some basketball even if the lockout continues.
