Fuzzy's = awesome.
In N Out = good burger but victim of its own hype. For me the mustard (sort of a dijon) dominated the burger too much.

With you on the White Castle, Murph. Absolutely disgusting. I went to the source, and couldn't finish my meal. White Castle greatly reduces any hope I have for the survival of humanity. That people can even claim to like that garbage is evidence enough that we are all doomed.
I remember sitting there with my Chicagoan friend after my first bite - just staring at him, thinking that it must be a joke. I couldn't figure out why a restaurant would make and sell joke burgers - surely the real ones were on the menu somewhere - maybe those were the miniatures you buy for your dog or something. I couldn't believe it when he kept eating it.

Fuzzy's is highly overrated. I'd put it behind generic places such as taco cabana, taco casa, rosas, and maybe even bell and bueno... if you get the burrito, they're behind Freebird and Chipotle.

Every Fuzzy's I've been to has been pretty gross.
Went to Torchy's Taco's this week - good, but damn pricey for a taco.
Went to some hole in the wall taqueria on Josey Lane today. Each taco was $ 1.25 worth of awesome.

I've heard Mooyah is good, which is up on Denton Tap/Sandy Lake. Not Las Colinas, but close enough (Coppell). Haven't actually had any of the burger places in Las Colinas, but I've only lived here a month.

I'm not big on Mooyah's sauce that they put on their burgers...
I had Krystal's burgers for the first time a couple of days ago.. not that good.

They are building an In-and-Out Burger at Coit and 635. That place is going to be jam-packed...full of idiots. Across the parking lot is the famed Bueno Burger, which will kick the crap out of the western-hippy-carpetbagger burger every time.

Smashburger > Five Guys > Mooyah
But I really like all three. The differential is tiny. Five Guys and Mooyah are exactly the same in theory, if you forgo the Mooyah sauce. But, I feel like Five Guys' patties are better - they are less dense and have that never-frozen feel. Mooyah may not freeze theirs (or both may freeze patties, for all I know), but Five Guys executes it better in my experience.
Smashburger's burger is incredible but the fries need major help. If you had Smashburger's burger paired up w/ fries from Five Guys or Mooyah, I'd be well on my way to 250 lbs.
I only had In-N-Out once. Although good, the sauce was too mustardy for me to love it. I'd go back, but in terms of quick service burgers it sits only ahead of Sonic at this point. Once we get one around here I'll go in there and try a super double secret probation animal style half nelson triple axle double greasy bacon smokecheesy, or whatever I'm supposed to say to get their best burger, and see how it goes.
I have a hard time ranking Whataburger. By all accounts, from a culinary perspective, Smash and 5 Guys/Mooyah make a better burger. But Whataburger is just so damn good. It's my favorite, but I can't necessarily say it's a better burger.

As far as fast food burgers go, Whataburger is pretty dang awesome. Honestly, I do like the Sonic burger as well.
I suppose my problem is that I kinda like all of them except Krystal and White Castle. I can find something of use at McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, Jack in the Box.. all of them (except White Castle).
As far as taking the burger up a notch, I do like 5 guys and Kincaid's. As far as Mooyah is concerned, I didn't like the sauce so my only dining experience there was very "meh".

I like InnOut. Wasn't so impressed at first, but if it's convenient enough to be your weekly burger, then it works really well. But it's all the "non-burger" stuff that makes it work. Very fresh lettuce, tomato, bun. That's consistently the best around. Great Fries. Probably the best "fast food" fries that you'll find. The patty varies by location. I'm very interested in seeing how it works in TX, where meat is important.

In-and-Out is pretty damn good if you get your burger animal style (not so secret, secret menu). Overall though, I prefer Five Guys. I do miss Whataburger.

I've gotta say that both grape and strawberry jelly taste good on sausage biscuits.. syrup is pretty damn awesome on sausage biscuits as well. The jelly thing might be a little counterintuitive, but you should give it a try.

Whenever I get the strawberry pie at Whataburger, I'm always tempted to leave it on the window sill.

Are they building one in Las Colinas? I haven't seen it if they have.
OK, after googling, looks like MacA and Royal. Two minutes from my apartment. Sweet. Not that I found it real great when I had it in Arizona, but it's an option other than Wendy's and Whataburger that isn't super-expensive like Five Guys or Smash.

Well I use to live off 114/161 also, technically off Royal and MacArthur across the street from La Madeleine's in those Apts.....in a house now
Everyday I have to choose between the 150416445 restaurants on MacArthur/635 and I can tell you those decisions are not easy ones, especially when you are hungry...too many choices can actually suck

Ate at some new hot wing place off 183 next door to a Fiesta supermarket (should have known better)....the guy was like lemme know if you like my wings or not...ordered lemon pepper, garlic parm, and traditional buffalo with fries....wings flavors all tasted identical, but the fries were awesome. I like my wings battered first then fried not just fried (like Wingstop)...called the guy and made that recommendation and advised him on those flavors....needless to say he thought I was "hating" on his wings
Now my GF calls them nasty wings....she was like "Lets go get burgers, and get our fries from Nasty Wings"...lol

Sauced Wings in Plano on Spring Creek near Coit is my favorite Mavs watching takeout food. I haven't been to Wing Stop since they opened. They have unique sides like fried pickle chips, pulled pork nachos, sweet potato fries, buffalo cheese fries, and sautéed vegetables. You can also get your tenders grilled. Second degree buffalo with garlic is my favorite flavor.

Cotton Patch is very hit-or-miss. The one in Lewisville sucks, but the one in southwest Fort Worth on Hulen is quite good. It's a converted Applebee's and has a legitimate bar area with TVs.

I go to that one often too! I'm a fan. The chicken and dumplings are pretty good and they have some great salads!
The most overrated restaurant to me is Applebees. It sucks. I watched game 3 there last night and the crowd was rowdy, proud and loud, so they earned a few points back from me.

I'll have to look for you next time I'm at Cotton Patch.
I'm a little bit unhappy. They're opening a Raising Cane's in Keller. That's absolutely the last temptation that I need. I lived off of the stuff while working in Sulphur Louisiana. Raising Cane's is amazing.

I'm sorry, but In and Out Burger might be the most overrated food place of all time. The burger has no taste whatsoever. I've had it twice and felt like I was eating cardboard. Whataburger>In and Out and it isn't close really. In fact, it's pretty tough for me to think of a better chain fast food joint than Whataburger. Just thought of this since some of my friends debate it, although most of them prefer Whataburger.

To revisit an earlier post.. I tried Mooyah again without their sauce.. Used mustard instead. It was good.
Fresco's on 377 in Watauga is also good... Try the chipotle steak quesadillas..

Ain't nothin' ever wrong with Mooyah. I like it best with the Cholula added.
And kudos to those who espoused Whataburger over In and Out. Glad to see they know the truth!

Recently came down with a stomach bug.. After getting well again, my first meal was an early morning burger at Whataburger... awesome... hands down better than In and Out. Burger is better..fries are better.
