Celebrities that you don't think will make it through 2008
... Which celebrities do you think will meet their end this before the end of 2008?, you have to pick 10 famous people/celebrities that you don't think will make it. The one that gets the most right at the end of the year is the winner....
Sound like a fun game?
I think Britney Spears - drug overdose or suicide.
EDIT... or AIDS

Heath Ledger - drugs or suicide...
(do I win?)
EDIT: this game doesn't seem so fun anymore...

Britney's fine... all of this crazy behavior you're seeing is actually just a group of grad students doing research for a thesis. No need to be alarmed.

I'm not predicting it, but I hope everyone that was involved in "Meet The Spartans" die a slow and painful death. I will look up each one of them and make sure not to ever anything by them again. That includes you Mrs. Electra. Not even your wonderful mammaries will save you this time!

Well, that's too bad. I don't really know who she is/was other than that she was a musician. I don't know that I've ever heard any of her music..and couldn't have picked her out of a lineup if I had to. but you hate to see that happen to anyone.. piss away their life because of drugs.

Just211 picked Steinbrenner... I guess he was the first winner?
Dying at 27 is tragic, but, oh well, she had it coming. I found her to be very talented... but obviously very tormented. Here's what she looked like:

Yeah, I looked her up..not exactly an attractive female. no idea what she sounded like. I'm sure I probably heard her at some point without realizing it..but, I really don't listen to alot of music..especially whatever it is that she sings.

27's a bad number.
Joplin, Morrison, Cobain, Hendrix.
Who knows, maybe her death will propel Winehouse to be Cobain to Lady Gaga's Billy Corgan (thx Simmons).

It's not too surprising to see Russell Brand come up with something good (at least the ladies seem to have thought so over the years...).
Too bad that Winehouse "delivered" what many people quietly and openly expected to happen eventually. Addictions, especially when paired with a weird mind, can be tough to overcome.
She definitely had a great voice and some of her songs were pleasantly easy on the ears.

I'll be honest - i thought she must have already been dead.
not to speak ill of the dead, but...
mentioning winehouse in the same breath as joplin, hendrix, morrison, cobain is such a huge disservice to that foursome.
winehouse put out basically one (seriously overrated, IMO) album. Those four above were revolutionaries.

Fair fair...
I don't even like her music so I'm the first to disagree with the 'genius' label so many are eager to slap on her. Like Brand points out, our society places a premium on tragedy over talent...so many young quasi-celebs get posthumous legacy boosts - Brittany Murphy? Will be interesting to see where Winehouse falls out in a few decades.

@ Big Boy. I apologize for my MavsX winner comment, but it is not about putting singers into a running order by lifetime achievement since they are all dead. Here the prob is that a teen checked out due to an overdose at the age of 27. I canĀ“t recall a song of her either.
