And I have no doubt that they'd love to sign him to finish out the season if he gets waived this year.

Agreed on all counts.

Another stellar game from Mr. Odom.
3 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists in 23 minutes. Of course 1-6 from the field and a -20 while on the court.
There's nothing the Mavs can do at this point, it is what it is. Disappointing isn't even the word to describe Odom as a Mav. Total nightmare.

This is on another level of bad compared to Walker.
Can anyone pinpoint a stretch of a couple of minutes where Odom looked like he was "getting it" here? Think about it, not a stretch of games, you'd be hard pressed to remember a stretch of minutes that Odom has looked comfortable.
And this after arguably his best season in his career. It's absolutely mind boggling was has happened here.

Pants on fire. Guy took two weeks off an he has less energy than anyone out there. I don't know if him being coddled is bigger than the schedule, but I think,it may be.

Not a fan of Odom but I have to say at least he's playing with more energy right now than most of the rest of team. Marion is still playing with a lot of energy as always. But I mean they don't have many other players playing the way they should right now.

After he came back, I'd agree.
After tonight? Hell no. He was back to his typical lazy POS self tonight. In one sequence in the first half, he launched 3 straight long jumpers in a span of 50 seconds. Fuck Odom.

That's true. Honestly even when he does play good I still get the feeling that it's to get people off his back. I still feel he doesn't want to play for the Mavs and the way Carlisle and Kidd talked I think they feel the same way too.

Wasn't even getting back on defense tonight, was just jogging down the court while guys like Nate were burning past him.
Every time he is on camera he has that lost look on his face like he is imagining his LA glory days. He never got past being let go like that by the Lakers and I don't think he will ever get over it.

Imagine what will happen with him and Vince if we don't get Deron or Dwight. You know Cuban will keep them there.

Just send Odom home already. Let Marion play the backup 4 while VC is a permanent 3.

So this is complete speculation but:
A college friend of mine just got off a flight from Memphis to DFW 10 minutes ago and facebooked a pic of Lamar Odom getting off the same plane. And apparently Odom mentioned that he's only connecting in DFW, en route to Salt Lake.
Memphis, Salt Lake... both NBA cities. During a 2-day break between games, just days before the trade deadline. Gotta mean a trade is brewing, right?

Why in the world wouldn't he be taking the team plane back? Weird.
And isn't practice about to start?

Who knows. He could have flown back from Golden State with the team yesterday morning, then boarded a flight to Memphis on his own later in the day. Either way, if this is true I don't see any team-related reason that would put him in either Memphis or Salt Lake City...

Me neither..and I know Carlisle talked about how important this practice was. Is this the "mysterious" real reason he was out so long? Maybe a shrink, oh wait the Mavs have a shrink on the coaching staff. Beats me, weird for sure.
But how wonderfully us humans are connected these days.

It would be amazing if we could get a useful back court player with his expiring. Fingers crossed. I really thought Lamar could work wonderfully for us, but it simply won't happen. Not even 2 months left until the playoffs, we need to do something. I don't know how many players out there with an expiring contract that could help us though...

Marion has a left sore knee, took today off, and if he cant go tomorrow vs the bobcats LO will be getting the start at SF.
Starting LO was an idea I had a couple months ago because Marion has no problem coming off the bench or starting.
I do want to have Marion available for tomorrow night, but it would be interesting to see what LO could do as a starter.

Because he's the hero d-m.com deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.

I can't imagine what you might have done to get banne. The thought of being banned from an internet basketball site is just so foreign to most of us.. What did you do, cyber bully someone or something?
