It's the only statistic where he is the #1 and you know why. Layups and dunks mostly, but I think he has improved the FT% this season.

WHEN? WHEN? WHEN?

Checked the stat list & interestingly enough, we've got no one in the top 10 in the league for 3-Point FG %. The highest we have is NVE @ 18 w/40%, followed by Nash @ 20 & the Wizard @ 34. I didn't even know Walt shot enough to be counted.

Actually, if you look at it, we don't have anyone in the top 10 for FG % either. We don't even have anyone in the top 20. Dirk's the closest @ 26 w/46.3%. The one shooting category where we excel is free throws (Nash is back @ #1 w/91.9%, Finley is #10). This is also Sacramento's weak spot (even though they have 2 players in the top 20, as a team, they are only 72.1%, as opposed to Dallas's 83.3) & we really need to take advantage more.

I looked at that list Ames and it's interesting. You looked at shooting % and I looked at 3 pointers MADE. The story is a little different.

Fin is at 11.
NVE is at 15
Dirk is at 27
Nash is at 41.

If you look just at ATTEMPTS

Fin is at 15
NVE is at 22
Dirk is at 26
Nash is at 54

All in all that suggests that the four of them are making more PER attempt than the NBA as a whole...we may not have 1 guy who's way up there in %, but seems like we're doing a pretty good job nonetheless. I'd be concerned if we placed higher in attempts than in shots made...but in each players case, they rank higher in makes than they do in attempts.
