About 2 years ago, when the Mavs were coming off a double digit win streak with Haywood taking over for an injured Dampier, many heralded Wood as the best Mavericks' center of all time.

Haywood is going to be such an added pressence if you have been focusing on center defense (as I have) you can tell Ian has been beyond bad defensivly when penetration is headed his way. Ideal rotation
PG: Kidd 28/West 14/ Jet 6
SG: West 16/Jet 20/Roddy 12
SF: Marion 32/Vince 16
PF: Dirk 36/ Lamar 12
C: Haywood 32/Mahinmi/Wright 16
|
I like that rotation but personally i'd be happier with Lamar as the 3rd SF option and Marion as the 2nd PF option, moving Lamar to 3rd there too.

I really really REALLY miss Delonte. His injury really hurt, I just hope he gets back soon and can find his groove again before the playoffs.

^ yeah, he's been great both on and off the court. I was really surprised, I thought if someone in the locker room was a distraction this year it would be him. Never thought it would be Odom or even Jet. Let's just hope he gets back on the court soon!

Mahinmi could also be a solution as PF back-up when Haywood comes back. He has a decent shoot for his size and the few times Wright and Mahinmi were both on the court were interesting.

Mavs are now 4-7 without haywood (i counted the thunder game where he got injured in first minute as without haywood)

He did, but he wasn't very sure when he said it. All he would say is that he wouldn't count it out, but they don't have a timetable on them.

When Wood does come back I just pray he doesn't only come back for two games then another injury sidelines him for the next 5. His most current injury blew my mind.

Haywood sounds iffy for tomorrow.
West won't play tomorrow, but he's shooting for the Florida games.

Also, if those are his padded (?) stats, that's really sad. Again, my argument is not about Roddy being better than West. My question, why would you think he's gonna make a difference for us, when he's just as average as Roddy this year? They're not horrible, but they're pretty average. Our improvement won't come from either, but it certainly won't come from West. If it will happen, it will be a team effort, JET improving, West improving, Roddy improving, Ian getting back to form, Haywood comes back, and producing (that's the most important, actually).

West is so much better as a PG than Roddy it's not even funny. You talk about pin-point passes, slashing ability and the sense of not over-dribbling the ball to get guys going.

You are so childish. First of all, Roddy played really well in the last 3 weeks or so, and had a couple games just as good as West had last night. Of course you weren't bumping anything then. One (certainly) good game from West, and you're bumping suddenly. You're pathetic. The other thing. The post you bumped, was actually not at all a reply to how West is horrible, or anything like that.
It was a post that highlighted with facts many of the dumb things you said, like how West attacks the basket more, and how Roddy padded his stats in garbage time, both been refuted with facts, needless to say, you didn't respond to any of them. You are a horrible, horrible poster.

It's clear why you didn't do it, because you were wrong, but why should i take you seriously after those?
Now, after one good game from West, you come here without an argument again, linking an article, an article, that is a mirror copy of an article that was about Roddy, 2 weeks ago. You didn't see me banging my chest after that, because i knew, what you fail to realize, a 1 game sample size is absolutely meaningless. But then again, i remember, you are the guy who said Dirk was done. So why am i surprised, really?
