Nugs clinched a playoff spot with a win over Phoenix...
If Utah wins tonight against Orlando, then Phoenix is pretty much out of the playoff picture - with 2 games each, Suns would have to win-out while the Jazz lose-out.

Ron Artest's vicious elbow to James Harden. If he gets suspended for a few games, it could have a huge impact on a potential playoff series with the Mavs. I wouldn't be surprised if Harden missed some time with a concussion as well.

Wow. That would be a season ban in the NHL, and this is freaking Basketball, the guys don't wear helmets.
Lakers are a bunch of f*ing pussies. Seriously, the dirtiest team in basketball. I get the hate for Heat for being douches, but this is just a classless franchise with classless fans. We all hate the Spurs, but everyone knows that they're the classiest franchise in the league and always loses with class. Fuck the Lakers.

Double OT. Ridiculously entertaining game. Thunder's late game execution is pretty much non-existent.

Choke job completed. It'll be fun to watch these 2 teams duel in the playoffs.

Despite how terrible Westbrick and Durant were, Kobe had to be amazing for LA to even win that game. Sure Blake knocked down some shots, but Kobe is the only reason they won that game. Sefolosha played solid defense all night long. Ramon Sessions was a no show. I can't stand OKC, but F the Lakers, I really wanted OKC to blow them out.

This game is a microcosm of why Dallas needs to play Thunder in first round to have a chance. Thunder cant go toe to toe for a 7 game series against the best of the best. They fall under pressure and are still a year or two away from potentially winning a championship IMO.
What has to happen for mavs to keep the 7 seed? Lose Thursday?

Harden apparently suffered a concussion as a result of the MWP bionic elbow... I wonder what his status is for the playoffs? Obviously his health is more important than any basketball game, but if he misses the playoffs because of the concussion that would really make the Thunder very beatable.

I'd throw his ass out of the league. Surely more dangerous than a drug issue.

Guess who's going to Bobcats @ Wizards tonight?
I can't believe I could be talked into what will probably be the worst sustained display of professional basketball I will ever see in person. Hard to turn down tickets selling for as little as $1.74 on stubhub.

Even if you hate them, most acknowledge the Spurs are one of the better/classier organizations in professional sports right now.

No he didn't. He said he stayed down to sell it, but that Horry legitimately knocked him off his feet.
What about that play even looks like a flop?

With all their flopping and whining and pandering to the refs and Sean Elliot? Give me a f@cking break.
The word "Spurs" should never be associated with the word "class". I would like to know who started this idiocy.
Edit: And Bruce Bowen. How could I forget? Those river rats just retired his number. Thanks, DirkFTW.

...
Or are you trying to parse the 'now-ness' of their "class"? I suppose at 7 AM today they were relatively classy sleepers. (EDIT: I forgot about the history of crotch pics... could be a photo-finish.)
