Stealing one in OKC and winning the 3rd game in Dallas would be huge.
The pressure is all on the young Thunder team, lets see if they are folding

Protect the paint, get Dirk the ball down low, get Ibaka, Collison and Perkins in foul trouble, and no Durant 30 foot 3p pull-up jumper at the buzzer with three hands in his face.
Go Mavs!

I want to put one hand on each side of Hardens face by the ear. Grip it with all my might, then put my foot on his mouth and yank until I completely rip his stupid fn beard off!
Go MAVS...Face scalp them!

Just limit the turnovers, don't let them run that much. I live with Westbrook shooting jumpers, if he hits them, fine.

This will be a very tough series but could easily be one that, if won, could give the confidence and motivation to an older but very dangerous Mavs team to get back to the Finals and challenge for a 2nd ring. Would love to start off strong and get a big win on the road. With Chuck and Dirk on our side it's tough to have fear...
Go Mavs!

This. If the Mavs can just find a way to get passed this difficult Thunder team, anything is possible. The great thing about the playoffs is that nothing that happened during the regular season really matters now. It's a new season, a fresh start. All the Mavericks' struggles during the regular season are in the past now. I'll repeat what I said last year in the first GDT of the playoffs, the Mavs just need to get some momentum going in the first round. If they do that, they just might catch fire and romp through the West.
Go Mavericks!

Yep. That and how they let collison guard dirk are probably the two most impt keys to this series. Unfortunately I think they both go OKC's way. We will not get defending champ love from the refs in this series

I actually respect your honesty and passion.
As for me I have no nervousness because I knew on Christmas Day this team wasn't repeating. Also when you're the defending champions it's championship or bust, so it's obviously a bust. That was a decision made by the MBT when they let go of TC JJB Deshawn etc... Now all that said I'm not neccessarily saying that was the wrong move.
I believe the MBT were promised behind the scenes that 3D was coming. But then Dwight became a big diva and wanted to go to the Nets and ended up opting in. They probably didn't know he had the mentality of a 15 year old girl and would flip flop so much. So once Dwight opted in in hindsight losing TC became bad for this organization, but again it wasn't something they knew Dwight would do at the time.

You can be sure that will happen. And not only Collison, but also Ibaka and Perkins. And on the other side KD, Westbrook and Harden will have a parade to the charity stripe. In FTA over the season KD was 3rd, Westbrook 7th and Harden 10th. I can't recall the last time one team had three players in the top 10.
Look at game 3 and 4 this season (I don't count game 1 and that fluky 3 by KD). Thunder winning them by 9 and 4, yet the FT disparity especially in game 4 was nuts. OKC won by 4 @ home mainly thanks to FT's (33-10). And still many OKC fans called it a fairly reffed game (on realgm and their own forum as well). Just crazy. Dallas shot 43% from the field and 43% from 3 while were able to hold OKC to 38% from the field and 30% from 3. 4th quarter FT's: OKC 15 vs. Dallas 2
And this was not because OKC was attacking the paint more than Dallas. Dallas 38 Points in the Paint vs. OKC 28 Points in the Paint.
Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me to read some crazy stuff by OKC fans (sure, not by all, but for sure by some) tomorrow. If they win again with a 30-10 disparity, they will call it a good job done by the refs and if they lose, likely they will complain they didn't get 40 FT's and the Mavs got way too many with 10.
Sure, it will be a very hard series for the Mavs, because OKC are a good team. No doubts here. However, looking over many boards across the whole NBA, many fans agree that they get babied by Stern a lot. New poster team, so to speak.

As for the FT disparity - in general sense, if you look at the style of play, it makes perfect sense. You say Dallas had more paint points...well maybe so..Dallas gets a great number of paint point through running floaters, jump stops, fadeaways, etc. Tell me 1 Dallas player that actually attacks the rim. The RIM, not the paint. There's really not one that does with any consistency. OKC is probably twice as quick at about every single position and has a number of guys that can and will go straight to the rim. They won't pull up, shoot a fadeaway, etc. Straight to the rim. When you have a liability defensively in terms of speed, you are often forced to foul an opponent who can drive past you at will. I don't see how anyone can argue this. Dallas is consistently, year after year, one of the lower FT attempt teams in the NBA and it has little to do with favoritism or bad refereeing. It has to do with their style of play.
Dallas is 29th in shot attempts "AT RIM" this year
Dallas is 18th in shot attempts from 3-9 feet this year
Dallas is 2nd in shot attempts from 10-15 feet this year
Dallas is 4th in shot attempts from 3 point range this year.
So really...how many foul calls do you guys want? Noone is really going to foul you at a high rate when all you do is shoot from 15 feet out. The stats don't lie.

Yeah, OKC is sterns baby. IS Denver Stern's baby too? What about Indiana, UTah, and Minnesota? Stern's babies? THey all shoot almost exactly what OKC does at the line.

But 3 guys getting those FTA's is a joke and that what concerns the viewers. The Thunder are protected from the NBA and everyone knows it.
