PGT: Thunder sweep
Dirk with 34 points in an elimination game - at least Deron still has a reason to come here.
Pretty much all of our expiring contracts played like they won't be back next season, and they probably won't. It's gonna be a long summer...

Tough to see the Mavs go out like the Lakers did last year. First 0-4 performance in a Mavericks playoff series.
Atleast, we got our moment in the sun. All eyes to 3D (stage 1) now.

Credit where it's due. The thunder are the younger and much more talented ball club.
It's gonna be a very interesting off season for the Mavs. Cuban has a lot of pressure on him right now. Not bringing in Deron could be disastrous for him, he needs to land a big fish.

Couldn't even get 1.
Cuban better come through with his gambit.
It all depends on DWill now.

well... im ok with it. Means more rest for dirk before next season and frankly we werent going to repeat the way we played all season and it has been painful to watch at times on both ends. OKC may well have the most talented players(i dont think that they will win because they are mental midgets) in the NBA - their window is a season or two since they will lose at least one of their key guys once they want to get paid - probably 2 (ibaka and harden)
In this series talent was enough. Congrats to okc.
Now to see what moves we can make in the offseason.

Dirk played well. As far as recruiting Deron, that's the most important thing (along with Rick and the organization at large).

Knew the series was over after Game 2, or lately Game 3, but a sweep is really frustating. Three Games were there for the take!
Congrats to the Thunder/Refs.

What Deron is thinking right now is that even if he's here, we won't be a contender as we don't have interior defense (unless we somehow snag a Kevin Garnett).

OKC are too fast for Mavs right now, only one young player (Williams) won't change too much here.
This team needs big moves, right moves. Odom was a disaster, we were shorthanded this year.

A point guard who isn't 40 years old is one of them.
Center position is more important, I give you that, but the point guard position really needs some help. I thought Delonte was going to be that help, but man did he disappoint defensively.
Deron would be a HUGE improvement. We still don't win anything without a center though.

What Deron is thinking is that you have an extra chromosome.

I got a little giggle from that. I guess it's a sort of salve to think so...but hey, if they are that deficient then you figure we would have found a way to get a damn game.

That last quarter of Harden driving at will really showed how much we missed Tyson this year. God I hope we get a legit center and Deron this summer...

Thats your opinion on what you THINK Deron is thinking. Fact is, there will be a ton of variables that will arise during his decision, this will be the last big contract of his career.
I know it stings right now but we still need to realize that Dallas is still a great spot for any FA.

I cried after last years playoffs, something I've never done with sports, and I almost want to cry again this year for totally different reasons. What a tough season for those guys in the locker room.

After the series I pretty much consider every one outside Dirk expandable. Carter tried so hard at times but failed, West looked like a good player in the regular season but disappointed majorly in the playoffs. Would still take him for the vets min though in a more limited role.
The center position is up in the air, you might want to make a case for Marion, but his offensive liabilities pretty much make him an overpaid defensive specialist right now.

It was obvious we weren't going to repeat this season after we got rid of Tyson Chandler, J.J. Barea and DeShawn Stevenson.
Our centers were just TRASH. And don't get me started on all the failed hope on "Free Roddy"
Yeah, free him of his contract and give the team space to recruit better players.

this series was the whole season wrapped up in 4 games, were in close games but let them get away from us and in other games we just didnt show up. same shit. this team never came together and showed any signs of greatness. i was delusional and thought they would snap out of it some where down the line, but its clear now how good this team was.

By no means does adonis's post warrant you calling him a "retard".
We NEED interior defense to win anything.
The simple fact you called him a "retard" when he made a fairly correct statement (besides the kevin garnet part) shows how dumb you are.

Congrats to Durant and Harden I don't really care about the rest of the Thunder players.
I hope we haven't seen the last of J-Kidd because I don't want his career to end in a sweep and as for Terry...he let his money/contract status get in the way of his game.
I also hope Cuban trades Odom to the Bucks and don't send to the Bucks any cash to but him out, if Odom had his head on stright I know he could have helped his team.

If deron is a no go, Steve Nash is a must get for dirk.
I wouldn't mind Carter back.
dirk/kidd
Ian and that skinny guy at center(as backups)
And if we can afford it, terry.
Rest can go, including Marion. Gotta cut somewhere

It makes me so happy that you are the one who jumps to his defense. It really does. Blissful, almost.

No way I want another old point guard. Steve Nash is on the verge of breaking anyways. His back is so messed up. Better options out there. Steve Nash is not the way to go.
If there is anyway to keep Marion, you keep him. He is amazing at defense.

Yep. You can't fold seasons for what might happen down the road. In a nutshell, that's what Cuban did. I think you can attribute Dallas struggles in the playoffs during dirks career to not having a legit mean center.

Well, way back at the start of the season, I said I'll just be happy if we make the playoffs. So, why am I so disgusted? I told myself I'd be happy.
As to the Thunder, they drew the absolute perfect first round opponent for them to outrun. But they will not have it nearly so easy vs SAS and LAL, as they have great interior defense and more sizable guards to take on Westbrook and Harden.

Deron isn't coming here. I don't know if you guys know but he's buying a house in NY and tweeted about why are people speculating about the Mavs when he never mentioned them.
Poor Dirk.
