GDT: Dallas Mavs vs Portland TrailBlazers Tuesday January 29, 9 p.m. central.
Houston won last night, putting them in a tie with Utah. Mavs need a win to inch closer to both and get closer to Portland.

We really need a win tonight, no excuses. I think this is finally the game that Dirk goes off and leads us to a victory. Dirk - 28 points.

Mavs win. We've been beating bad and mediocre teams consistently.

The Blazers are playing their third game in four nights.
Their starting lineup plays the most minutes in the league.
Portland's 16.5 points per game off the bench are the fewest in the NBA.
MAVS WIN!
current overall NBA rankings of our MAVS are:
9th in points per game at 100.5
14th in rebounds per game at 42.0
13th in assists per game at 22.3
29th in points allowed at 103.0 <<<<<<< what in the world would Dwayne Casey think about this????

These are the kind of games Mavs have to win to make the playoffs

That's crazy. Their starting players average 45 minutes per game?

Kaman missed shootaround:
Quote:
Backup center Chris Kaman did not participate in Tuesday's shootaround in Portland due to a potential head injury suffered during Monday's practice. Rick Carlisle told reporters that Kaman's status for tonight's game against the Trail Blazers has yet to be determined.
Kaman's hasn't started the past two games as Carlisle has been using a center-by-committee approach with Elton Brand and Bernard James also in the mix.
While Kaman made it clear he wasn’t happy after playing a season-low 11 minutes Sunday, he didn’t want to elaborate on the subject, figuring it was better to keep his thoughts to himself instead of venting his frustration publicly.

I'd rather Sarge get his minutes anyway at this point with Kaman's recent play and attitude.

I like Kaman as a person-- I just wish he didn't kill us. If we're really trying to win, we can't have him in unless he's surrounded by a bunch of defensive guys and we need some offense.

Kaman
Good combos are:
Dirk with Sarge
Brand with Kaman or Wright

Enjoy yourself! But why do I get a virus-warning for your sig?
Also: Go Mavs! As already stated, it's a really important game.

Kaman on the trading block imo.
Will know more about the mavs playoff chances after tonight. Glad to see James getting some time at center.

Let's not allow Wesley Allen to go off tonight.

The pace early on is extremely fast, too fast for my liking.

Aside from being 6'11 and not being able to finish, I thought he did well.

I'll give him credit for being in position to make those. They will fall most nights.
