Simple. He is a small 2. Play him that way. Don't make him something else. M. James will be out of the league next year and another coach will get lots out of Roddy. Another wasted 1st round draft choice.

We have Carter, Mayo and now Morrow at the 2. There's no room.

Correct, but we played M. James at some two. I see a waste of talent in a guy who is still young. His value diminishes with every dnpcd.

Roddy just isn't that good at basketball. No reason he shouldn't be bigger and stronger than when he first got into the NBA.

Yes. You're right. If he just would've followed Kevin Durant's lead in building up his body we'd be looking at a completely different situation.

I'd consider reading Zachariah Roberts post for a start before making stupid assessments. My stance always has and will ever be that environmental variables just never have been in Roddys favor.

I wonder what's the deal with you and Roddy. Roddy sucks, his body language is beyond pathetic and his game not much better.

Calm down. I'm asking because I see a player who started with promise going backwards. Take your meds.

I don't see any reason why MJ is the 2nd option. He brings absolutely nothing of value. It has to be more to IMO. I'm the minority but I love seeing Roddy and Wright on the floor as long as there is a "W" in the win column.

Roddy should be the backup and IF you play 2 PG's, Roddy needs to play as the SG...

RC does not like Roddy. Celtics did the same thing with Chauncey before they traded him to Detroit. He should be used as a Vinny Johnson type tweeter. My concern is that he will be used properly at his next stop. It makes no sense to play Mike James because Roddy is the better defender and he's not a 37 year old journeyman.

Roddy and Rick just don't get along. Doesn't really matter the who/what/where/why anymore because it just isn't working. I'm tired of seeing Roddy with a short leash and will look forward to seeing his new start on another team.

He's been given numerous chances to take the position and for every good game he has he follows it up with 2 bad/mediocre ones. It's been 4 years now and nothing has changed. Roddy is really too good for d league but not good enough for the nba. He'll probably float around for a couple more years then be out of the nba. He was made available at the deadline and not a single bite. So I will have to side with the nba general consensus that he just isn't that good.

Of course. Both are particularly great in the 4th qtr.
Roddy (padded his stats) during garbage time and Durant during crunch time...

you don't know what they were asking for him so availability with no trade is not a measure of his value.
His availability with RC as coach also does not define his value.

You have to think he has become a lazy or unfocused professional. As someone mentioned they have been seeing him a lot more on the practice court.

Roddy is one of the softest players in the league. And I wish I could find it on the draft site but Jonathan Givony reported about it a long time ago during the European Camp. Roddy plays well for a few games, then gets hurt. It has been the mantra for him even before he was drafted.
Carlisle probably stunted his growth as a player. But Roddy does nothing to push himself to be a good player.

Wow, you've got a point. He's like a regular Karl Malone next to Roddy.
