Is there going to be a GDT? I'll make one after work if one isn't made.

Dunno if that has been posted yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDt85CzgVDU#t=224
I like Simmons and this preview is both funny and on point.
€dit: If he just would stop calling Dirk Nowintzki....

The thing that gets to me most is just how little respect Dirk gets. He was an allstar year after year, and no respect. He wins an MVP, and no respect. He wins a championship and he gets no respect. I was happy to think that respect had to be earned, but I can't stop slamming my head on my keyboard continuing to see Dirk disrespected and underrated. What does someone have to do? Regular season MVP? Finals MVP? Champion? 11 allstar games? What else does he need to do?

Kendall Marshall got waived by the Wizards. I 'd like him sign him to the Legends and if he shows that he is a better player than Mekel then sign him.

I'm not sure Marshall will ever be anything. He can't defend, can't make his own shot and his speed is limited. It's the rare player who can stay in the league by only doing one thing well, and that one thing is usually rebounding or shooting-- not passing, because passing requires defenders to honor you.

Gersson Rosas is already fired?
That's got to be the shortest run ever for a GM.

Really makes me uneasy. What is going on that he comes in, makes a big splash and then leaves a few months later? Apparently a fist fight (almost?) broke out according to Fish. I'd love to know what was said and if it was related to the Mavs or if it was personal.

I hear Gersson Rosas & Cuban almost got in a fight and Ron Washington broke it up.
|
Also, why was the manager of the Rangers involved?

I don't know if Fish is being sarcastic or real. But this is odd. Some kinda scene had to happen for this. I'm guessing Rosas wanted to do more than worry about the roster. Then Cubes said "no, you worry about the roster only!"

Always a good omen.

In what way did Rosas "make a big splash".

This is a joke, referencing a reported blowup between Nolan Ryan and Jon Daniels.

He didn't impact acquisitions, since we were done by the time he arrived, but he apparently made a lot of changes around the FO and was also present at every practice, game and even pre-pre-season workout. Considering that the roster was basically finished and he only had three months, he made a big splash (but not a big impact.
And thanks for the clarification about the joke. I don't follow MLB so that one went over my head.

Where did you read that he'd made a lot of changes to the FO? I read that he *tried* but was rebuffed.

I'm like 0-3 with blowouts and a combined Dirk/Ellis FG line of like 13-70
