GDT: Grizz vs Mavericks, 11/2/2013, 7:30 p.m. central
Let's get the ball rolling again. Need to gut this one out and get a win on the second night of a back to back. Memphis is always tough because of their interior. Need Dalembert to stay on the court.

Come on Mavs, lets stay over .500 and keep from having to dig out of a hole.

Rough schedule to start. Jose has to get out of this funk. I'd like to see a strong win and a good defensive performance.

Just scored some very fairly priced and very good tickets for tonight's game. Awwwww yeeeeeeeaah. Kill it!
I'm really not worried about the team after two games. A whole new team is going to take a bit of time. Patience. Calderon's shot will start going through.

It would be nice to get a 2nd night win in our first back-to-back - those things don't get any easier as the season goes on.

Rough schedule to start the season. Won't get easier than yesterday, their frontcourt is loaded with Gasol and Randolph. The whole team has to step up with rebounding.
Also hoping that Calderon finds the arena.

The Mavs have given up almost 100 FT attempts through 2 games. The Grizz traditionally go to the line a lot. That could be an issue...
On the plus side, Grizz went to OT last night, and Zach has not looked good at all this year (pre-season, too).

Geez you with the numbers again... Any relevant info on as to why you believe they'll continue to give up a ton of free throws? Oh so Zach hasn't looked good. Good analysis there..

Show me ONE such post from me, please.
Knowing you, there won't be another post coming from you with an answer. But it's not needed!
Back to topic: Grizzlies played an overtime game yesterday, so the Mavs may want to jump on them!

It might be tough to win that battle tonight...
Alternate game plan: everything else.

Totally agree, but we have to put up a respectable amount of rebounds even though we will almost certainly trail in that stat.

That is a little overkill, but of course a win is always nice.
I just want to see 2 plays w/o a foul, last night was gross

Firstrow is telling me I need Flash player 9 or higher now. I have Flash Player 11. Anyone know what's up? I've tried in Safari and Chrome, and with and without adblock. I can't find a little x to click to get rid of it! It worked fine all last season. Anyone else?

Dirk on Harden last night:
I guess I've just got to get out of the way," Nowitzki said. "He's so great at creating contact, so I've just got to run to the locker room and let him lay it in."

Was afraid that Marion would **** the 4 on 1 up.
Good start, especially on D!

I see that you're upset that I dismantled your, "Ellis is arguably the best Mav" assertion. No need to take it personally.
Why is there reason to believe it will continue? Hmm, maybe because, as I said, the Grizzlies go to the FT line a solid amount to begin with, particularly their bigs, and because our defense is new/poor, and thus foul prone. As for Zach...he looked poor in pre-season and his first two games. He looks a step slow (he is getting up there in age) and his shot has been off. How much more of an in-depth analysis would you like? I already know you don't like stats...so that's out of the question...

Calderon should be fine (offensively). It's humorous that some people are calling him a "horrible" signing after two poor shooting games. I'm more worried about Ellis. But we'll see...

The other night I was watching the Lakers and Kaman inexplicably dropped a rebound with no one around him. I sure don't miss that...
