Dallas Cowboys 2014 - the Road to Superbowl XLIX
Well we're 90/1 - any takers on an appearance in Glendale this coming February?
I'm going to go out on a limb and say we don't finish 8-8 as we have the past 3 years. i'll optimistically say 9-7 and miss the playoffs. Offense will be good but the defense just won't be able to stop anyone.
cheers!

I think 9-7 and missing the playoffs is spot on.

If the Cowboys miss the playoffs again, that would be 5 years in a row, Jason Garrett would be in trouble, unless a major injury happens like Tony Romo missing 70% of the season.

pleasantly surprised
expectations exceeeded so far... was expecting the offense to be good, but the run game is beyond what I could hope for. In particular the O-Line is getting it done! it's exciting to see that we have a good run/pass mix to keep the D honest. Our own defense has also exceeded my expectations especially against the saints... I still fear our lack of pass rush is going to catch up to us. promising so far!

I am shocked the Cowboys won 3 out of 4 to start the season. If they can beat up on their division rivals, they will be in the playoffs. We'll see. Best start to a season in some time.

Well, they're on pace to finish 12-4 or 13-3.

Next week is a scheduled loss, playing in Seattle. But 4-2 is still a solid start.

They're like the Mavs. Just keep doubting them and they will win.
Have confidence and cockiness and they'll roll out 4-5 straight losses.

Very impressive start, this is how the good teams get it done. You may have a Dez Bryant, Tony Romo but at the end of the day, it's your lines that will win ball games. Smith-Frederick-Martin is a solid investment, just like the Niners drafting Iupati and Davis. Build solid lines both sides of the ball. Offense control the clock, rest your defense and when it's time to dig deep, they aren't running on empty when they're making the last stand. Murray's just got to learn not to put the ball on the carpet......

Kinda scary that the Giants have to be briefed on Ebola before coming here. The hospitals and CDC better get their effin act together.

I gotta admit, Aikman/Emmitt/Irvin were pretty damn good today... Hell, Harper had another good game too.

Stars are also looking nice.
Benn, Spezza, Seguin, Daley
Romo, Dez, DeMarco, O-line
Dirk, Parsons, Monta, Nelson
Big D is mainly O.

Defense just isn't good enough on nights where the offense isn't clicking. The OL needs to dominate games for us to win, and that just didn't happen tonight.

Apparently the invincible defense is an all-out blitz look that may or may not be fake.

I'm not going to put Monday night on the o-line. I'll put it more on the personnel packages that were out there that didn't really seem to adjust to what Washington was doing. I'll put it on Murray who was abysmal picking up the blitz.. and even on Romo who didn't recognize the blitz quick enough at times.

Poor play calling IMO was the cause of Monday nights debacle.
Run, Quick Slant, Screen - repeat (not necessarily in that order) until in the end zone or they back out of that 8 man front.
Dallas just never seemed to realize that a quick screen to Dez and let him break a tackle would have caused the deadskins to quit bringing the pressure.
and I put it on Romo who just can't seem to hit a hot read.

Weedon has now completed as many throws to Arizona defensive ends as to Dallas wide receivers.
