I felt it was already over when Green made the 3 to end the third quarter.

Crazy how this is gonna end up a 20 point game and yet it was completely winnable

Kept the Spurs around 90 and still lost by almost 20 points... Offense was horrible, stupid turnovers, missed open shots, missed free throws... Looks like we are going to play Memphis the first round, I honestly hope Houston will get the 2nd seed. Have a better feeling playing them instead of Memphis

We missed so many opportunities to take the lead in the third. Was just a matter of time until they started to make shots again. Losing Ellis didn't help either. Can't stand the Spurs and their commentators. Stopped watching early in the forth quarter. There was no way the Mavs would get back into the game after falling behind by 15 again.

Say what you want, I think this team played hard. Sure things weren't going our way... But defensively there was a lot of effort (minus the 1st quarter). If we have a healthy JJ tonight we would have looked a bit better. I hope the Monta injury isn't bad.
Rick has got to stop limiting Rondo. The pulling Rondo out with 6 minutes left in a quarter and not putting him in until 6 minutes are left in the next quarter is ridiculous. He let Rondo play nearly a full quarter and we made our run. Why is Dirk playing more minutes in a quarter then Rondo?
We loss tonight. However I feel we are heading in the right direction. It's going to be tough come playoff time, but this team IS looking better as the season goes on. We played the defending champs and they defended their home. They just smacked down another team by almost 40.
I trust this team will be playing better basketball heading into the playoffs

I still think our ideal matchup in the first round will be Clippers or Houston. I want it to be playoffs already!

I didn't see many effort problems tonight, either. I saw a lot of missed shots and some dumb plays, but I didn't see much loafing. Actually looked fairly close to playoff-intensity basketball (albeit clearly not playoff-level execution by the Mavs).

Yep. I think with JJ and Monta they would have had a chance to pull this one off. Devin was awful.

Devin wasn't awful. HE just made a bad shot from 3. He's not a perimeter guy. He's a slasher. Also missed an easy layup. I'm starting to look at him as a SG. A small one but effective if he can play it right.

Mavs had their chances in the third to go ahead but made many mistakes on offense, the defense looked great.
Harris was pretty bad (not as bad as Felton/Jefferson). His two consecutive threes in the third quarter were horrible (his % are down to earth), also his charge killed any possible momentum. But it's tough to ask for much from him, he needed to play extended minutes yesterday.

Mavs lost because of turnovers, turnovers, and more turnovers. Rondo had 4, Harris had 4, and Parsons had 3. Everyone expected high iq point guard play with the Rondo acquisition but that has not happened unfortunately. Maybe playoff Rondo will turn it up a notch and play like the Rondo we all expect.

We're at the point of the season where you have to look at the bigger picture and no matter the daily reasons, it's not good the team can't find any consistency on the offensive end whatsoever.
I think our defense has really settled minus some minor stuff that comes from guys still getting used to each other, but from all playoff teams only the Wizards are playing worse offensive ball right now and with nine games left there is only so much you can do.
That's pretty amazing considering we were the damn godfathers of scoring early on.

Teams have figured us out. Nothing really surprising. Our offense is quite predictable.

Teams scouting is more advanced than earlier and we played a fu**ing cupcake schedule and bad teams early on. So, no one should be surprised that the offense regressed.
