Well, tyreese was an actual character in the comics (although he was way more aggressive and was Rick's right-hand man for a while - he was basically Daryl). But speaking of T-Dog, he's super important:

I can't say that I've said this very often..but that was a boring episode of TWD. I suppose because Tyreese wasn't one of the characters that I cared for much... but, was actually reading my email and checking basketball scores during the show.

Yeah, Tyreese was incredibly awesome in the comics. Loved him for the few issues he was actually in-- he was an enforcer like Darryl/Shane/Abraham They did do the one fan service moment (surviving a swarm with just a hammer) for the comic fans, but otherwise they turned him into another spiritual leader a la Dale. Kinda disappointing, but the send-off was pretty touching, even if it was one of the weaker episodes this season.

R.I.P. T-Dog 5.0

I'm enjoying Vikings. It's reminiscent of SofAnarchy.. but, I believe it's a little better written.

anything good on TV right now?
I'm currently watching:
Walking Dead- mixed bag, but still find ways to be fun and creative. Lots of cool practical effects.
Last Man on Earth - pretty funny and definitely unique apocalyptic comedy
iZombie - really not a great show, but funny, quirky, and endearing like Veronica Mars
Vikings- a dramatic recreation show that is more Game of Thrones than boring History Channel narrated documentary. Slowly turned into one of the better shows
Black Sails- one of the best kept secrets in drama. AMAZING pirate action, one of the best period pieces ever done, and starting with season 2, some of the best writing/acting on TV. Really interesting period/pirate drama with good ship battles and an amazing soundtrack
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt - Good but not great. Was expecting 30 Rock, but got something more around the quality of late-season Office. Funny, but just not up to Tina Fey's track record.
Looking forward to:
Wayward Pines
Game of Thrones (for obvious reasons)

I actually really liked the Walking Dead season finale. Not what I expected at all.

It was a good episode.. Definitely enjoyed that all out hell did not break loose in the final episode of the season... something different for a change.

Erica, Vikings reminds me alot of Sons of Anarchy.... a better written version based upon a different time and place. But, there are alot of similarities such as the young guy taking over looking to take a group in a different direction from where they've been in the past.. taking over for an older man that's clearly lost his way..
Erica, you have good taste in TV.. I knew there was a reason why I liked you so much.

Are people watching Better Call Saul?
I have enjoyed the first season. It started a little slow. This past Monday's episode was fantastic.

It's a decent show, but it suffers a bit from prequelitis -- the stakes aren't very high when you know certain characters are going to pull through because we've seen them on Breaking Bad... Nothing is really a matter of "if" so much as "how". But I do agree that the last episode was pretty good and actually delivered a genuine twist... Oh, and the production value (acting, camera work, lighting) for each episode is on par with some of the best Breaking Bad episodes ever.

An understated but really good season finale last night. I dig that the writers don't feel like they need to have someone die or something explode just to be dramatic for the season finale. Just good character development and interesting story with a good setup for next season.

Well, it's not the someone kinda die type series. There's not enough main characters to go killing someone off.

Speaking of being hooked - Daredevil is pretty damn awesome. The pilot was one of the best pilots i've seen since LOST. Acting, feel, fight choreography, it all worked for me. I'm a few episodes in, and it has remained solid.

Also I wondered if I was the only one watching izombie. It's certainly not great but it is amusing and great for background while you play on a phone or tablet.
This is super nerdy but the flash is also very very good in a cw superhero series sort of way. Its the best one of those they've done IMO.

I've watched the first 3-4 episodes of Bloodline. That is very, very good.. Kyle Chandler is phenomenal as always. He's starting to put together a very nice resume...

I'm amazed that I watch so many CW shows - Arrow, Flash, iZombie.
iZombie is like an undead Veronica Mars. Actress is super cute, it's got some good humor. I'm sticking with it.
Flash is awesome. Superhero shows have long been plagued with the idea that it has to be "grounded in reality", so they never introduce weird stuff from the comics. Flash is like "what the fuck ever, we're going there". But they do it with pseudo-science plausibility. Plus effects are cheaper these days, so you can pull off some good effects on a show with a decent budget.
Arrow had a really good season 1 and 2. Season 3 has been pretty depressing, especially compared with how fun The Flash is.
Murph - Daredevil is on Netflix. Marvel Comic hero, but original content/series developed for Netflix. The whole season is available now, so avoid spoilers. NOT the Ben affleck one.

I am really embarassed to admit it, but I'm a grown-up and liking a few CW shows, too. iZombie specifically-- it's not a great show, but I like the premise of a ME who eats brains, gets their memories, and uses them to solve crimes. It's interesting, despite being aimed at teens.

I was a huge fan of the Daredevil comic when I was younger. The Affleck movie was just not very good even beyond Affleck himself being in it.
I am only one episode in to the Netflix series. Well done pilot. Has a lot of potential.

Hated Daredevil comics in high school and middle school, but I missed much of the Frank Miller run in the 70s and early 80s.
Hated everything about the movie other than Clarke Duncan.
Actually like the show.

Although teens have been the CW's target audience in the past, I don't think izombie is specifically targeted at teens. It's pretty all-encompassing. Same goes for arrow and flash.

Justified ended last night. Easily in my top 5 of all time. Just a great, great show. And it had a really, really strong and satisfying finale, which is somewhat rare these days.

God damn it, Raylan! Your timing sucks!
That was one of the best finales ever for a show. I don't know why it wasn't a more popular show. Walton Goggins is amazing.

I was avoiding this one, but I finally gave it a try because of Coach Taylor. If you haven't finished the season, you will not be disappointed. Probably the strongest Netflix original to date.

It's already out? Didn't look interesting at all when I was sorting though the pilots. Didn't even watch. figured they would all take 10-18 months to get them all out.
I'm still waiting for my PKD fix with Man in the High Castle. That pilot was amazing and I read all of the PKD books in college.

It's not rare for me to catch myself checking my phone or something during most TV shows.. I did so many, many times during the season 5 premier of Game of Thrones.. but not during Bloodline. It is riveting television.

Bloodline is Netflix. Don't think they did the same thing with this show as Amazon is doing with their pilots. It has Sissy Spacek in it, so I assume they commited to the show up front.
I agree about Man in the High Castle. I think it was the only Amazon pilot I watched, and it was really good. I haven't read the book, so it really hurt when the pilot ended and I knew I would have to wait to see what happens next. I have become pathetically addicted to binge watching. I hate waiting a week now.
