When I said I wanted to see the Mavs get on another streak, this was not the kind I was talking about...

Matthews FG this year: 34,9%. Huge downgrade.
Dwill not clutch this time.
Zaza 0 boards. Can't wait for more minutes for Javale.

Not too worried. It was a tough road trip right before a big holiday.
And while it sucks that Parson and Matthews aren't doing well, they at least have good reasons. They likely won't be back to "normal" until January at the earliest. It is what it is.

D-Will through up more bricks in this game that I can recall ever seeing in an NBA game.

His 4-16 was pretty awful, but Kobe shot 1-14 against GS yesterday... Although maybe you didn't watch that one.

It was really a figure of speech. It seemed like all his misses were wide open uncontested jump shots that most decent nba players would have made. If he makes just a few of those shots we most likely win. It's just a real bummer because he kept shooting and missed everything. His 4 makes were probably lay ups.

Might sound weird, but I really think we would have won if this wasn't a 3/4 game. Just read we only made 25% of our uncontested shots. Clear sign of being tired. We failed at OKC and Memphis, not tonight.

I'll go with Dirk's take on the game...
"We made them (the Spurs) battle. We got knocked on our heels. But I liked the grit and fight we showed all night."

A statement win would have been nice... Mavs need one.

I really liked how the Mavs played in the last quarter, very aggressive, high-energy, sharing the ball. They just couldn't get over the hump, that's all.
21 minutes without a rebound, that's really odd for a good center such as Pachulia.

I think Zaza looked like he had dead legs. He's been carrying a pretty big burden. Not to mention being constantly yanked with foul trouble he never really got in rhythm.
Rc stayed with CV a little long for my liking but maybe he felt he a had little choice needing floor spacing.

At some point we are gonna need to lean on the young fresh legs of Powell and Anderson. McGee being back will help too. Guys playing pretty well so far all things considered.

Anyone more stat savvy than myself able to find out Wes Matthews % on off the dribble step back 3's vs catch and shoot? He's got to be rivaling the J.R. smiths of the world for most off the dribble step back 3 pointers per minute.

As long as the Mavs stay at or above .500 to the Allstar break with no long term injuries, I am totally okay. I will be savoring the heck out of that Clippers win.
