Lawl, apparently Howard wants out of Houston. Funny stuff, because he signed there he had 30 teams to choose from and chose to be with Harden

Is Harden the new Kobe?

Parsons + Felton/Barea/Pachulia for D12 then?
I'm not that certain I'd give up Parsons for Howard's contract though.

Is Howard better than Pachulia? I'm not so sure...esp with Howard's injury problems that never go away.

Is Dwight Howard the next Ralph Sampson?
Oh, and I'm referring to injuries and apathy cutting short the career of a player with elite athleticism, NOT to their troubles with fathering multiple children by multiple women and the attendant family court issues regarding child support.

Is Kristaps Porzingis the next Dirk Nowitzki?
Nate Silver offers some analysis in support of the proposition.

He thrives on a good chemistry team, and the suns are in complete turmoil as long as Morris stays on the team. Got that money though.

I still don't want to see him go out like this. 0 chance he finishes his contract at this pace. I don't think it has as much to do with team chemistry as his constant nagging injuries he suffers basically every season.

Morris is ruining that team. Now suspended for throwing a temper tantrum (and a towel) at their coach

Marc J. Spears: The Sixers are acquiring guard Ish Smith from the Pelicans for two future second round picks, a source told Yahoo Sports. Sixers guard to be Ish Smith averaged 8.9 points, 5.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 22.5 minutes per game for the Pelicans this season.

Can't decide who got the better deal
Ish is good.
Then again those second rounders? They're both likely to be as close to a late first as you can get

Eric Pincus: Philadelphia will send Denver’s 2016 second round draft pick + their own 2017 second to Pelicans for Ish Smith
– via Twitter EricPincus
I guess getting Denver's pick makes it a little lower. Apparently Tony Wroten was released as well.
Bobby Marks: Wroten is eligible to be claimed from the following teams; BKN, POR, MIN, MIL, UTH, WAS, MIA, OKC, CLE, GSW.

Some were upset we didn't get to do a snt of sorts to get hibbert before we ended up getting zaza for nothing. I can't for th life of me understand how hibbert has fallen so hard the last few years. More times than not when I see his line after games he has 3 rebs in 25-27mins like tonight. Averaging 6 rebs a game in 26mins on the year. Meanwhile Zaza grabs 10.5 in 28mins a game and again we got him for nothing and his salary is pennies to the dollar of hibbert.

Nobody claimed him, Wroten has cleared waivers. Not that we really have a roster spot to spare, but he does bring one extremely good skill (getting to the rim) that could really help spacing and offensive rebounding issues.

I'll admit to having Hibbert high on my wish list among those that were reasonably available. Zaza never occurred to me at all... and to be honest, I. Didn't really recognize his impact even when I watched the Bucks last year. Glad with the result, though I'd absolutely still roll the dice on Hibbert as a deadline pickup or even a FA option this summer. I think he's more "needs a good coach/system" than "inexplicably washed up before 30 for no discernable reason" though I'd believe either theory.

You knew it was coming though with Morris requesting a trade all summer.

GS is in a tough game with Sac right now. Well, was. Down 2 in the 3rd, within 5 minutes, up 14! Rondo has been playing like garbage since I started watching the 3rd quarter. Casspri 8-10 on threes, has 31 points at the moment. Main reason Sac was even in it.

Sucks to be robbed, but what is it with NBA players having to go to clubs and strip clubs? Especially someone like Early who is barely NBA talent. He should be going home watching video and working on his damn game. Sheesh.

To be fair, he was reportedly on his way home, with his girlfriend, after an evening together at the club. What young couple doesn't enjoy taking in an evening of pole dancing, right?
That said, this was a weird situation. Early and his girlfriend were leaving a "gentlemen's club", headed home in a Uber car, when three cars penned them in, pulled Early from the backseat, took his money and jewelry, and performed a little roadside dentistry. Then they kneecapped him. This does not sound like a typical street mugging. More like organized crime. In the Russian's backyard, to boot. Gambling debts? NBA scandal? Stay tuned.
NYKs continue to be as entertaining off the court as on, though it's more difficult this year with the addition of Porzingis giving them some actual basketball talent. But the late-night/early-morning carousers are giving it a helluva shot.

Hate to say it, but other than the slow development of Porzi, this is the second most interesting story the Knicks have had.

Why shoot somebody in the knee when there are 6(possibly) of you and he is clearly not a threat to run you down as you are fleeing the scene in multiple cars? I just... don't get it. Out of spite? For having things they don't? Ugh..... Poor kid's career was alrdy off to a slow start with his knee surgery and now to get shot in the same knee... good grief.

Yeah no, I'm not trying to say he isn't a victim or anything. I just feel like it's always between 2-5am and involving a club of some sort that these kinds of things happen. Hell, I don't drive on the dallas north tollway around that time knowing the drunks and/or crazies are likely out. Wonder if he owed some money or something because getting shot in the knee when you play NBA basketball is just f'ed up.

Yeah for me it's getting shot in the knee, the SAME knee... and he was shot after complying and giving them the valuables he had on him.
