Such a weird turn of events. Why gift him to a conf rival, the same one who embarrassed you last season, for essentially nothing and the only benefit is a 2mill savings from lux tax?

Stein says broken hand. What a total dumbass. He should be brought up on assault charges, but I'm sure the trainer won't file them.

Clippers just continue to win without Blake Griffin. Might be time to trade for our next PF in Griffin. Hey even Love is in the trade rumors. Love or Griffin to replace Dirk?

What do you plan to trade for them? Powell and a ham sandwich?

Even if we had the assets to get one of them, which we don't. You complain all the time about empty stats and now you think K. Love is a good piece to go after?

And yet, Adam Silver says he is going to look into fan all-star voting. I'm almost it's positive because of Zaza getting a lot of votes. I really can't help but feel the league has a vendetta against Cuban and the Mavs.

@ESPNSteinLine: ESPN sources say Suns have strong interest in Steve Nash for bench vacancy but Nash not ready at this time to jump into full-time coaching
@ESPNSteinLine: Nash, while undeniably close with Suns owner Robert Sarver, not prepared to leave family for head coaching
@ESPNSteinLine: Nash, remember, is in his first full year of retirement and already has two basketball jobs: GM of Canada NT + Warriors part-time consultant

I'm not sure the Love trade rumors are legit. Everyone just assumed he was next to go with the coaching change, but he's been performing a lot better since then, and it looks like they are trying to get him more involved.

People think Durant will go to GSW
1) it's based on almost nothing
2) if true, that would be the most ridiculous team in the NBA. No rebounds or defense, but the most unguardable set of shooters in the game

Is the NBA going to start playing with more than one ball at once? Because one ball doesn't seem like enough for Steph, Durant, Klay, and Green.

That makes zero sense. No rebounds or defense? They're already an elite defensive team. Draymond, Bogut, and Iggy are all top 5 defenders at their respective positions. (And Draymond being incredibly versatile, with the ability to guard 2-5s, and Bogut being an elite rim protector.) Not to mention that Barnes, Klay, and Steph are all above average defenders. KD would start at the 3 instead of Barnes, which would actually *improve* their rebounding, and not hurt their D. (KD and Barnes are both versatile, above average defenders.) In no conceivable way would adding KD do anything but make an already dominant team historically dominant.

I think you are missing the obvious... EL is 100% right because in order for them to get KD they would have to trade away Iggy and Bogut. So by your own opinion they just lost 2 top 5 defenders for their position. Plus they would have to withdraw their offer on Barnes and let him walk in free agency. So no he won't be coming off the bench behind KD. So their team would be curry/klay/kd/green/ezeli with livingston and looney prolly as their only bench players they could keep. The rest would be all vet min deals. I'm sure they could get some players who go there on vet min deals for a ring but yeah EL is right they would not be the same team defensively and they would more than likely be killed on the boards.

I'm starting to wonder if C.J. McCollum is the best player on Portland.

They wouldn't have to trade away anyone...KD is a free agent this Summer...
They'd lose Barnes, sure. But even if they lost Iggy & Bogut, Ezeli is also a very good rim protector. A starting 5 of: Steph, Klay, KD, Green, and Ezeli is absolutely a top 10 (probably top 5) defensive team, and a historically great offense. Killed on the boards? Again, KD is a *better* rebounder than Barnes. You literally have zero argument to make. There is no downside to adding an all-time great player in KD. None whatsoever.

Until it's reported he will sign for peanuts I will assume they have to do something like this to get the salary room to afford him. And losing that many players presents plenty of downsides, like defense, rebounding, and depth. To think otherwise is pretty outrageous. Nobody said they shouldn't do it if they have the chance, but to expect them to rebound the same just because KD rebounds better than Barnes totally ignores the impact the other players have. Curry doesn't even need to play 4th quarters right now. None of them are in the top 30 in minutes played. So yes, losing the depth and some of the versatility that allows them to do that is also a downside.

They wouldn't be losing that much key depth. Losing Iggy and Bogut hurts, sure. But the others don't contribute much anyway. And a team with KD, Steph, Klay, and Green is going to bring in quality guys for the min. even more than Miami did, IMO. You can argue the depth being hurt, but you can't argue the rebounding being hurt. And the gains of adding a KD outweigh any small ping to the depth. Steph will still be resting the 4th because that team will be blowing people out 9 nights out of 10.

Cleveland sounds more like a logical destination for KD if he's looking to form a superteam to win a championship quick. He'll be the man after Lebron steps down. GSW will always be Curry's team.

Manu Ginobili Out At Least Four Weeks After Testicular Surgery
http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap...icular-Surgery
Quote:
Manu Ginobili will be out at least four weeks after undergoing testicular surgery.
Ginobili was injured in Wednesday's game when he took a knee to the groin from Ryan Anderson. Anderson was called for an offensive foul on the play.
Several Spurs and team personnel quickly rushed to check on Ginobili before helping the guard to his feet. Ginobili took a few steps, and nearly collapsed again, before a trainer and Tim Duncan were able to walk him to the locker room.

To think they could have had Steve Kerr if they had just offered him more money.
A blind man could have seen Fisher's firing coming. The guy is a drama queen and embarrassed himself with the whole Matt Barnes thing.

6min left in 2nd Harden 0-5, 2 points. Steph 7-8, 21 points.
Harden calling himself the best basketball player in the world is like the gift that keeps on giving. Just like his turnovers.

Good news for us is that Gasol is out indefinitely for the Grizz and Houston is still a mess.
