I remember earlier in the season when I said ZAZA is not the best starting center on our team and that it was MEJRI. MEJRI time to shine is coming!!!

Very happy with the win but concerned we had to do it with small ball.
Glad to see JA get some burn though...Rick really needs to let him keep playing to get more comfortable and be more involved.

Well when he switched over to Kemba... the game went our way fast. He wasa huge part of how we won even tho he didn't contribute much offensively.
He is a one trick pony offensively and this offseason will tell if he can expand his game to drive and attack. He didn't have time to work on those types of things due to his injury.

Who cares if we went small if we win? Our centers are garbage and Parsons plays better at PF

And we can't rebound and defend anyway, so at least it got the offense going.

And if we go on another 5 game losing streak maybe try Felton at PF and move Parsons to center

I actually wouldn't mind the starting lineup of Williams, Matthews, Anderson, Parsons, Dirk.

Actually my concern is basically resorting to gimmicks in order to get a win...not normally a good sign and usually a sign of desperation.
We did need the win and I am thrilled about that but not sure extreme small ball is going to be so successful over the next several games.

I'm for anything that will inject youth into the lineup at this point.
Might as well put Powell into the mix in place of Zaza.

You are worried about our desperation after we dropped 5 games in a row? We absolutely were desperate. Rick has stubbornly gone with a losing strategy all year and finally gets some rotation flexibility and you are worried because we went small?
Dirk/Parsons at PF/C
Dirk 66.7% TS%
Parsons 89.3% TS%
Most efficient pairing on the roster when played 4/5

You can also tell from his few minutes that Anderson has the potential to be an otherworldly defender. That play he made with the block and save out of bounds was unbelievable. I really think energy like that would help keep the starters on their feet. You also have enough ball handling with Williams, Parsons, and Matthews that you don't need to worry about Anderson.
Here is that play in case anyone missed it...

We played big ball most of the year and basically have gone small ball since the addition of Lee.
The other night he went even smaller.
We gave up a 19 pt lead fairly quick and allowed 63 pts in the 2nd half so yah, I'm a little concerned about winning that way.
We won that game because Parsons and Williams got hot at the right time....we lost the other games because they didn't. We may have won that battle but not exactly a great strategy to win the war imo but my guess and "concern" is that Rick will stay with that strategy no matter how badly we get torched the next several games.

Yeah it would have been nice to play some of the energy guys more at home because our crowd looked dead in some of those losses. Guys like JA, Powell and Mejri are the types of guys who can energize the crowd.
Wouldn't mind seeing Anderson get some time against LeBron tonight.
