Phil is borderline idiotic right now...cant believe this crap
#3 + Nets 18 + Crowder + Brown for Porz...what a joke
#3 + Crowder OR Brown is pretty much the maximum

Idk how good those dudes he played with are though. None of them are draft-able for example. It doesn't look a whole lot better than what Fultz was workin with tbh. It was better but not so much that it should be more of a concern with DSJ than with Fultz.

Net 2018 pick is a joke, yes. But I think the minimum is #3 this year, Brown, and future 1st, and maybe another player/later pick. Porzingis is worth that much and he should demand that. He's aiming high for now, and will either settle lower, or keep his budding star.

Orlando is definitely the biggest wildcard ahead of us.

@TheMavsFanatic: Mark Cuban says Donnie Nelson makes the final call in the player that they pick in tonight's draft.

I don't get all the Rubio hate. Dude is 26 and on a very manageable contract. If you actually watched that spacing video that someone posted from youtube, all the issues the timberwolves have would benefit the Mavericks. Even with the cluttered lane with Rubio penetrating, Dirk and Barnes as the screener can't knock down open threes? Spacing would be so much better with Dirk and Barnes setting the pick rather than KAT and Dieng. I love Wes with all my heart and won't be mad if he stays but it would be stupid not to get a better chance at Dennis Smith while adding Rubio. We also can potentially offer a max contract by lowering our salary cap with the addition of Rubio. This would be an absolutely heavenly trade. Rubio in Rick's offense could be deadly.
Not to mention Rubio has some size.... Just imagine:
Rubio/Seth/Barnes/Dirk/Noel
DSJ/(free agent?)/DFS/DFS(Powell)/Salah
I am not mad at the above line up. That's without offering a potential max contract. If we could land a trade for Danny Green in the process, this team is looking pretty damn good.

Athleticism, killer instincts, and shot creation.
... and a gap on every other skill aside from 3 pt shot.
"Monk is a prolific scorer who haunts opposing defenses with his shooting ability. Launching effectively off the dribble or off the catch, he knocked down 42.5% of his three-point attempts in SEC play last season. With an excellent first-step and the capacity to finish above the rim, often in spectacular fashion, Monk is far more than just a perimeter sniper."

Basketball: a game where the objective is to put a ball in a basket.
Ricky Rubio: a guy who cannot put a ball in a basket.

@LeadingNBA_: Brian Windhorst just said on ESPN that the Clippers offered DeAndre Jordan for the 3rd pick to select Josh Jackson, and Boston didn't do it.

@Patrick_Fenelon: Zach Collins' wingspan, per Draft Express is N/A. That's a big red flag, IMO. Not having arms is a tough thing to overcome for young players

The Clippers can suck on their first round exit. Talk about the treadmill of mediocrity team.

They have that guy from draftxpress on the vertical on right now. Said Lauri to Minny is looking strong. That would be a great night for the Mavs if true.

I'm sure we'll trade Wes/Curry/#9 for Rubio/#7 and draft Lauri.

Be back after Mavs draft...would love to see us magically get an extra pick and get Semi. Not plausible, but my dream.

So who is everyone's prediction?
I think it'll be Monk with Collins as a dark horse choice. I'm not saying DSJ because I just don't think the Mavs get that lucky.

Smoke or fire?
@ESPNSteinLine: Thirty-ish minutes from now ... Philadelphia will officially make Markelle Fultz the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. 7:37 PM-ish.
@DefPenHoops: Frank Ntilikina looks to be the pick for the #Knicks at #8 if he's available and if they don't deal the pick.

DSJ or Isaac..
I'm not sure about Monk anymore now that I heard the hardline + Followill refer to him as a 6th man
