Dude sucks at assessing talent/fit -- San Antonio is easily his best shot at a ring, yet he's willing to make a lateral move from the Clippers to the Rockets? Like, did he even watch the Westbrook/Harden combo in OKC?? There's a reason they let Harden walk -- having two ball-dominant guards just doesn't work in this league.
Either way, it sounds like CP3 will make it easy for me to root against him this season (and once again give me the satisfaction of watching him fall flat on his stupid face!)

LOL, I'm reading several very-unconfirmed rumors that CP3 is threatening to walk unless the Clips ship DeAndra Jordan... As far as I can tell, this is a test to see if God really exists.

Just random tweets from a few people who claim to "know" people within the organization, but no sources that I can actually trust... I saw a few of them responding to Stein's various tweets about CP3, but can't seem to find them again.
EDIT (here's one): @KimbleGathers: My people are telling me that one reason he met w the Clippers today was to let them know he will talk to other teams and wants Dj gone..

More I think about this the more I want it to happen actually. Clips forced to super max BG32 or he moves east to Boston. Neither team is good enough to beat Warriors much less compete with them. And Rockettes have 65-70m of a 100m cap tied up in a 32-36yr old injury prone CP3 and Frauden? 2 of the least successful playoff players there are? Next year Capela moves into the 20m Center club aaaaand cap space gone, hilarious.

On a serious note, at least it took until after they took Frank over DSJ for Dolan to start thinking of getting Phil outta town.

I mean, at least Phil didn't grab a staffer's ass like Isiah Thomas, but, still... I wonder if Charles Oakley is interested in a GM position?

Epic failure to fire Jackson now right after the draft and right before FA.

It's official...Jackson out.
I wonder if he tried to trade KP just to stick to Dolan knowing he would be fired.

I would think leverage. If not we get to watch Harden/CP3 implode at who's going to dribble the ball the most.

NYC bias -- people who live there think that city is the center of the universe.

Chris Paul traded to Houston via Woj. Wow. Worst case scenario IMO.
Seriously, never thought I could hate the Rockets more.
But hey, it isn't colluding for players to recruit other players all year long.

Paul
For
Decker, Beverley, Williams, 2018 FRP
The real question is when will the first fist fight happen between Harden and Paul over who gets to handle the ball more

Wow. They got him for garbage. Might be worse than what the bulls got for Butler.

Difference is in 5 days CP3 was walking out the door for nothing, he apparently wanted to go to the Rockets. So they got something for nothing. Butler was under contract for 2 more years at value.

I still thought Beverley was a value contract for his fit with Harden. Thought they should have upgraded the wing or front court before they upgrade Beverley and his value contract.

I'd like to take this moment to acknowledge, likely the end of the single greatest stretch of 5 years in history.... in turnovers.

Exactly. Upgrade your 3 and 4 spots. Terrible fit having Paul next to Harden. Didn't they just have really good success in moving Harden to more of a ball dominant scorer/facilitator? Goodbye to that.

Well Windhorst says PG13 is their next target. If they turn Ryno into PG13 then that would be something to discuss IMO. Even if it would be a possible 1 year rental. Hard to see what Houston has left as far as assets go though.

Theres some overlap in their style of play no doubt, but I cant wait to see CP3 "leadership" in the huddle with dantoni and on the court with Harden.

I will say that Paul gets his wish of playing defense for the whole team. Almost guaranteed he gets injured with the way D'Antoni overwhelms minutes on his starters.

Paul knows the Spurs are the best fit for him. He knows that Pop is spanking DAntonis ass in a playoff series.
But Paul is all about the super max for him. As president of the NBPA his primary target was a change in the cba allowing him to get a super max contract soon.
And he knows the Spurs wont give him one in 2018 because its suicide. But desperate Morey is going to give him this contract.

This is a good point, especially because he will probably boost his numbers in Houston and make people think he's worth it

Word came out from I forget the writer on twitter saying CP was strongly interested in Spurs but that Spurs werent showing that much interest.
