I can honestly see the possibility of Noel going for 16-12-2.5 and signing a max contract with the Suns this summer, only to be injured and only average 4-6-1 next year for them while we grab Len for 10-13 and have him average 16-11-1.8
Playing next to DSJ will do wonders.

The first of those rules is being labeled as the "Harden Rule" -- unofficially named after Houston Rockets All-Star James Harden -- which will attempt to limit players from collecting cheap shooting fouls. This rule is essentially an extension of the rip-through move that was recently instituted, and is being termed as the "Harden Rule" for Harden's knack of drawing cheap contact and earning free throws by leaping into would-be defenders.

Edit-
James Harden sucks.
Eff the Rockettes.
DSJ > CP3.

Clutter of three balls. Thunder have turned into the desperate rockets recycling players like crazy for some nba2k fan boy roster.

@CJMcCollum: Kanter released a statement about his love for OKC and the organization ... 4 days later he got traded. Stay woke, it's a business.

I think Melo does pretty well in OKC. He has shown in All Star games and the Olympics that when he has talent around him he is willing to share the ball. His defense stinks, but I think he will be a little more motivated on OKC. Considering what OKC gave up to get him I think it was a good move. Still won't put them past GS, but they certainly improved.

How mad will the Knicks fans be when they blow their #1 pick this year?

Carmelo wouldve been perfect fit for Portland. Wouldve been efficiently used because Lillard and CJ are undersized, struggle on defense, and need a solid forward scorer. And I do not like Melo at all.
OKC seems like overkill having Paul George and Melo. I dont see this ending well because none of the three are bona fide leaders. Theyve been the stars on their own teams, but I see this being a 1st round fizzle in the playoffs at best.

Probably yes. Thing is, the East is so bad seeding doesn't even matter. 1 or 8, all you have to do as Boston is win that one series against LeBron and you're in the NBA Finals.

Here's an odd bit of news...
@MarcJSpearsESPN: NBA free agent center Tiago Splitter is attending Warriors practice today. He said he has an injured hip & is considering a coaching career.

there is zero chance. The day the Knicks fired Jackson, they choosed Porz
Now they dumped Carmella. Porzingis is the franchise player. If they trade him the fans are going to tear down the MSG

I may be in the minority but I actually think a WB - Roberson - George - Melo - Adams lineup could do some real damage once (albeit, if) they mesh. Enough to beat the Warriors? Probably not, the Warriors are a well-built all-around team. But, probably enough to take out the Rockets and Spurs.

Same problem in OKC as Houston though -- too many mouths to feed, only one cock.

@ShamsCharania: Restricted free agent Nikola Mirotic has agreed to a two-year, $27M deal to return to Chicago, league sources tell The Vertical.

@KCJHoop: The Bulls and Dwyane Wade have reached agreement on a buyout, per sources.
@wojespn: Sources: Cleveland, San Antonio and Miami are leaders for Dwyane Wade post-Bulls buyout. OKC could become factor too.

I don't see SA offering him anything. He doesn't fit with their culture.
Miami is possible just because he could go back home and coast on a bad/bottom playoff eastern team with a ton of fans still.
Cleveland is the most likely. The downside is that he gets labeled as chasing a ring and riding Lebron's coattails. But a Wade vs Curry final would certainly be entertaining I have to admit.

@wojespn: Dwyane Wade is nearing a commitment to sign with Cleveland and could finalize decision as soon as Wednesday, league sources tell ESPN.

I guess "Bulls bid against themselves for scrub" wouldn't have been appropriate.

I personally think all their numbers will rise as it pertains to efficiency. None of them are by any means clutch to me at all though. It's a team with 3 sidekicks who all see themselves as Batman.

@wojespn: Westbrook has the biggest total contract in NBA history -- six years, $233M. Westbrook agent Thad Foucher and GM Sam Presti finalized today.
@AdamSchefter: Coincidence that Russell Westbrook signed the biggest contract in NBA history on Kevin Durant’s birthday?

OKC can go over the cap to keep George and Melo -- if this season goes well, there's a good chance that happens.

Yeah I would assume they want to keep all three, mostly because if/when PG and Melo opt out, OKC basically becomes capped when they re-sign George. And culture/basketball fit aside, you're better off re-signing Melo too so he's an asset, if nothing else.
Just do not give him a no-trade clause!

@royceyoung: Paul George says Russell Westbrook’s commitment will “absolutely” factor into his decision next summer: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2...on-next-summer
