Idk, it's hard to let cousins just walk away but at the same time they are playing better without him I think. And have been for a while imo. They started rough after his injury and went 1-5 then went 20-8 and have rolled through the blazers now.

Sure Mirotic is a better fit for Davis...hell, they can keep all three and create a kickass front court rotation where Mirotic plays around 20-24min a game the stretch four with Davis or Cousins at center.
But would Mirotic be happy with such a role? And then they still have that glaring hole at the wing...

People said from the start that Boogie and Brow would take away too much from each other and I guess they were right. Not really missing anything without Cousins.
Kinda unfortunate that they have to go against GSW in the second round. I think Houston is the much better matchup for them and they would have a shot there.

Jabari Parker finally becoming the X factor in their series. Boston looks to be in big touble if he keeps at it.

Bledsoe has been garbage this series. They might be better off playing Deladova at this point.

I cant enjoy any Giannis story without getting pissed about Cubans "know it better" attitude and Donnies non-existing balls...

See, you just can't be a traditionally sized center in today's NBA and NOT play defense. He just doesn't have a clue on that end. That's very strange considering who the coach is.

Game was close when Harden couldn't make a shot. Things changed after halftime.

Wolves shot selection is abysmal at best after the half as well. Combine that with missed ft's, no defense, and missing easy bunny shots close and you get a -18 half so far.

It's puzzling how someone with his skill set and athletic abilities can be so god awful. Sometimes he doesn't even try on defense... something you hear a little about with Ayton which is the only thing that scares me about him.

Well that and Harden scoring 22 points. I'm curious what Wiggins does well? I thought he was a good defender, but feel like he's gotten roasted all series.

He's just like KAT. Has the tools to be a great defender but is shit. KAT at least is great offensively though, Wiggins hasn't improved one bit imo during his 4 years.

Houston just had a 50(!) point 3rd quarter. Think you can throw in the towel on this series.

For real man. More defense is played in an all star game.

OKC needs this game or Russ is going to average 45 PPG next season when he shoots the ball 50 times/game because nobody wants to play with him.

And Ayton is a top 3 prospect according to most. It's a weird disconnect

Which is why I don't get how lots of Mavs fans rate Bamba as low as they do. Bamba blocks shots without fouling which is almost unheard of.
I've luckily have had the time to watch almost every playoff game, and I think a defensive big and wing are as crucial as ever despite all of the talk that they no longer have a place in this league.

Bamba may be the definition of the kind of guy who you want a middle-first to get.
With high lottery, you go for Michael Jordans and LeBron Jameses-- ultimate offense guys, but Bamba may make a similar impact defensively.

It is delicious schadenfreude
Much as I hate Durant for going to GSW, he was 100% justified in leaving Westbrook. Westbrook is a selfish dude with an incredible fire. He's the best "star" in the league, but he will never be a superstar until he makes others around him better and learns to play well with others. At 29, I'm not sure he has the capacity to learn those two things.

Has there been a more talented, athletic specimen with such a low BBIQ as Westbrook?
But honestly, if you can't shoot in a game predicated on it, then it will almost always come back to haunt you. Ben Simmons better be paying close attention.

Dude has one speed. Its amazing to watch when its clicking, but this is who he will always be. I try not to hate him, but he acted like a bitch all night on the court. He shouldve been tossed.

Gotta admit all these young players are making the NBA exciting. Gonna be an interesting next few years. Rockets better get a ring quick if they want one. The window might be short.
Bad thing is the Mavs seem so far away from being in the mix. DSJ seems like a nice player, but other young players are even more impressive.

Why are you comparing a rebuilding team to a team in its prime?
Rockets are as good as they've been-- maybe ever. At least the best regular season team we've seen from them.
Mavs are in year one of what is hopefully only a 2-3 year rebuild. Not even worth comparing. With the right moves and a good pick I could see us anywhere from later lottery to 5-8 seed, but definitely not looking to make it even out of the first round

Westbrook is a lot of fun to watch, and I think he deserved the MVP award last season, but he's either the worst great player ever or the greatest bad player ever.

Oh and RE: The Rockets -- I'm actually pretty terrified that they're going to find a way to add LeBron or PG13 this summer.

I would be shocked if he doesn't opt in to his contract for next season... I think he's owed about $28M. Only way I see him playing somewhere else next year is if he does a Wade and opts in and immediately demands a buyout.

I know it's a lot of money to leave on the table, but I really think he wants to win. And play with the banana boat buds.

I'd be borderline shocked if he went to Houston. They would have to gut their team and lose some key role players who are spot up shooters and defenders for yet another ball handler. And I'm still not convinced he leaves the East, he's had a red carpet to the finals for a decade in the East, why in the world would he want to go to the brutal gauntlet that is the West? The only west team I can see him entertaining is LA, simply because if he succeeds at bringing LA back from the dead he's immortalized even further.

Yeah, I don't think a mid-30s LeBron is even gonna make a dent in the all-time list of players who donned a Lakers uniform (Kareem, Magic, Kobe, Shaq, West, all in their primes), especially if he's battling GSW and HOU to even make a Finals appearance... Or he can join Houston, but given the MVP votes over the past couple years you could make a pretty strong argument that he'd be 1B to Harden's 1A... Dude needs to stay in the East or else his legacy is pretty much wrapped up.

Glad the Mavs never had interest in Jordan Clarkson. That guy is garbage.
