Mavs vs Lakers game 4 2011
Just pulled that up on Youtube and watched it last night.
Epic epic game! The Mavs were a force in that playoff run. The poor Lakers didn't know what hit them. 2 Hall of Famers at the top of their game, the runner up 6th man of the year, the next year's Defensive Player of the Year, great coaching (including Dwayne Casey on the bench), a deep bench with role players all making plays. The way they played great team defense, kept in motion on offense, and used the 3 as a weapon reminded me of a current team....the Warriors. The Mavs tied the record for most 3s in a playoff game there. The Mavs ended the Phil/Kobe run so it's kind of a historic game. Kidd and Peja got some playoff revenge on the Lakers too. Anyone who tries to diminish the 2011 Mavs in service of an anti-Lebron agenda should be forced to watch this game. What the Mavs did to the Heat was impressive too..but nothing like what they did to the 2 time defending champs.
