Maybe thats why he was smiling during his post game interview when he was talking about we will get a good player at 4, 5, 6, 7, that's not our concern.

Wow. Incredible Magic win. Kings and Knicks also won, decreasing their odds. Hoping now we can appreciate the Mavs efforts.

Now he can come coach Bamba, Bagley, or Ayton on defense.
Na, dearth of good coaches in the NBA. He'll get another head gig.

It was probably time for them to make a change. Having said that, they are kidding themselves if they think Defrozen and Lowry aren't more responsible for the failures in the post season.

Sounds like DeRozan might actually be on the block... ESPN even saw us as a potential suitor, but I'm on the HELLNAW train with this proposal:

Oh this place would riot if we did that. Absolutely no way he is worth that. A future first with modest protections and Wes sure. Not a for sure top 6 pick. Hell no.

Derozan? No
I would offer Casey a coaching spot, though. Love that guy

Wasn't Carlisle fired after COY in Detroit? Also, Budenheizer (sp?) won it in ATL a few seasons ago.

I'd consider Wes and next years 1st, but can't give up guaranteed top 6.

I like Derozan, but he doesn't fix what ails this team so badly. If he was a superstar, then sure. He isn't, and that's why Toronto lost. Considering what those fans think about Derozan right about now as well...

Watched every game of the series closely. This year it was more on Casey, as badly as DeRozan played. Casey made Ty Lue look like Red Auerbach

That is saying a lot considering Ty Lue only ever has one thing on his mind at all times.

@wojespn: Mike Budenholzer has reached an agreement to become the Milwaukee Bucks coach, league sources tell ESPN.

You're never going to get consistent talent to go to Toronto. It's actually a great city, but the "NBA" reputation doesn't seem to agree.

agree. Loss of next years draft pick ?? or heavy fine? both? If Cuban gets fined for openly talking about tanking how much more worse is this?

I don't see as the franchise should be penalized. Its super shady but also not exactly libelous I would imagine. I mean there is some double standard where KD can post as another but Colangelo cant. I get the distinction. But at the same time, if what he's saying isn't exactly falsehood- i.e. Noel is an idiot, Embiid egomaniac, Fultz a flake-- all likely true! What is the damage? That its in a public arena? Done by burner account? All bizarre and fireable and fineable but not much beyond that.
But is it worse than Kupchak selling Donnie damaged goods? Or Clippers locking DeAndre away and that whole fiasco? No repercussions in either case. The strange part is Colangelo disparaging his own players- he drafted Fultz! You only need to watch Fultz on camera for literally two minutes for red flags to fly. So he got fleeced by Ainge and proceeded to tank his own guys trade value. What an f'ing idiot.

Not sure who it mentioned, but if true it would also be a gigantic smack in the face for the league. They helped replacing Hinkie because they didn't like how "The Process" openly exploited tanking. Lesson: Try to grow the sport, not the business.

It gets even shadier... "Eric Jr" is one of Colangelo's burner accounts:
Sitting Simmons for his entire rookie season was an obvious conspiracy to keep him eligible for RoY... I bet it costs him now (although Mitchell should be the clear winner anyway, IMO).
