They are fielding offers from multiple teams. In every potential trade they are dumping Parsons. If the Mavs want the pick they will have to include Barnes and possibly a future pick.

Well.....giving Barnes is less enticing........but if they did...I Wouldn't be upset.

I would really hate to give up that future pick but I would do it to have both 4 & 5 in this draft. Next year’s draft is said to be very weak, not nearly as good as this year’s draft. It would kick the rebuild into overdrive and allow the Mavs to have a TON of money coming off the books in 2 years. The Mavs would easily be able to attract free agents with Dennis, Doncic, Bamba (my preference) all with 2-3 years experience (and still on their rookie contracts) and $60-$70 mil in cap space.
