Dems are about to fuck this thing up again. The whole machine is out to slam Sanders. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. They want Trump to win, right?

It's because he wants to make real, effective changes that will affect the pockets of the corporate Dems.
I have no clue why they are so afraid of him otherwise. Sanders actually gives a shit about people in a way most politicians don't.

I'm willing to give the moderator the benefit of the doubt that she was just reading the next question on her list, when she said, "when Sanders said these awful things to you, how did it make you feel" after he had just said that he didn't say it, but it's pretty obvious that Warren had already been fed the question beforehand by the rehearsed answer she gave.
It seems like the Dems just wanted to burn both of them right there for Biden's benefit.

There is nothing that Warren offers that Bernie doesn't already. He has just been doing it genuinely a lot longer.
If the Dems don't want a Biden nominee, then she needs to drop out. She trails in basically every poll to Bernie and is taking his votes since they are similar on most issues.

It appears they want Biden. It also appears they would like to make sure Warren voters won’t want to vote for Bernie, and vice versa.

I've yet to meet anyone under 60 who wants Biden. I have a hard time believing Biden has as much support as they say.

538 has him as the favorite, and he is management’s choice. Bernie is closing in the polls, but once Warren dumps her voters over to Biden, it’s going to be tough for him to pull off a Trump coup. It’s still early though.

If this ends up Bloomberg vs Trump, can we just dispense with the illusion of choice? How does one even muster the will to give a shit?

Yep which is why you shouldn't be allowed to buy elections. Buying an election is really no different than getting a foreign country to help rig one the way Trump did.
I'm still open to voting for Kloubacher or Pete if they win, but Bernie is really the only guy that is actually going to change things in a significant way.

It makes the Russian thing look silly. They spent a few dollars on FB adds, ran some Twitter troll accounts, and possibly facilitated the release of actual Dem emails.
The Dems are now hoping a Republican can buy the election from Trump and "save" the democracy.

I mean, I checked three polls yesterday that all had Sanders in double digit leads nationally.
Bloomberg is currently just taking away centrist votes from Biden, Pete and Amy which in many ways helps Bernie.
The bigger issue is whether Bloomberg runs as an independent in the generally election. That would all but seal the deal for Trump.

The centrist vote could eventually coalesce into the one centrist candidate, and he only needs to keep Bernie from winning an outright majority where the super delegates get to pick the winner. Note how every candidate besides Bernie in the debate said that the person who wins the most delegates should not necessarily be the winner.

LOL, "centrists" -- how'd that work out for the Republicans last election? The center lacks passion, and passion is how you get people to donate & vote these days... Bernie inspires passion, nobody in the center does (now that Yang is out). If the center couldn't rally around Biden, then they're not going to rally around anyone because there's no message to gravitate toward other than "don't vote for that guy". Gotta use the carrot, not the stick.

I also listened to a pretty interesting podcast that showed that Dems trying to be centrist or more "Republican" friendly doesn't work. Their point was that you rarely to never see Republicans trying to be more liberal in this day and age, and the polling and exit polling backed this up.
In 2018, when the Dems did well, 83% of Republican registered voters voted. That is staggering and shows the real down to earth issue IMO. If the Dems want to win, then they have to turn out to vote. None of the centrists are going to inspire such turnout.

Oh yeah, I don’t think it’s a winning strategy. Better question is how’d that work out for the Democrats last election with Hillary? Still all the Democratic pundits for the last few months have been pushing the idea that they need a moderate because “electability”, and that the Sanders progressive types have no chance vs Trump. MSNBC even went as far as adding up Klob/Pete/Biden’s numbers in NH vs Sanders/Warren and called it a loss for Sanders, because “see the moderates beat the progressives.”

Yeah, big-money corporate news outlets have zero reason to get behind progressives, so they won't... They spew obvious lies, like "only 24-year-olds without jobs support Sanders" as if he could lead all candidates in fundraising if that were remotely true. If the DNC thinks their best chance to the White House are NeverTrump Republicans, then they're going to see the same results as in 2016.

It's almost tragic that fox news has treated Bernie better than MSNBC has...
Chris Matthews talked about getting executed in the park and Bernie would be laughing...
But I mean alllll pundits have lost their shit with Bernie.

Chris Matthews compared Bernie's big win in Nevada to the Nazis taking over France in WW2...

Looks like the DNC really wants Trump to be president again because of their foaming hatred of Bernie...

Warren is basically gift wrapping the election to Tump by staying in the race at this point with Klobacher and Pete out.

How? It’s the primary, she won’t be on the general ticket. She’s gunning for a VP slot behind whoever wins.

You do realize that basically entire DNC is trying to stop Bernie right? So you're telling me Pete and Amy couldn't stay in for that very same reason? Nope, because they will do anything to stop him.
She is needlessly splitting the progressive vote when she has no shot at the nomination. She is one of the few politically powerful people that can help by dropping out and endorsing him.
I guess she'd rather have Biden win and be VP to him?
I guess we'll see if she stays in after tomorrow though.

And failing... All they're doing is proving why the Democratic Party needs someone like Bernie right now. The more they push, the more his supporters push back at those corrupt, corporate dick-sucking gollems -- those are exactly the types of Democrats that convinced Trump's supporters to "drain the swamp" (not that the GOP are any better, but the DNC are bad enough to make a convincing argument).
And obviously Liz is gunning for a Biden victory after attacking Bernie to create some semblance of separation between the two of them... And it's backfired horribly. Her political career is about to be over -- the voters of MA are even looking to replace her as senator.

But see, I think she can at least partially save herself if she dropped out and endorsed Bernie. Be a shame to see her collapse as a phony while needlessly taking primary votes away from him. People have short memories, and she could easily get back to why she became popular to begin with.
