Pelicans @ Mavericks !
Mavs host the Pelicans tonight at 8pm CST.
After a pretty terrible showing last night at the Grizzlies, let's hope we can bounce back and grab this much much much needed win!
Portland has jumped back ahead of us and we sit at 6 one game up on the Lakers.
Not entirely sure who's playing or not, I'll leave that to someone else to post. Although I think I can safely say that Terry is out for personal reasons.
Let's. Go. Mavs!!!

Right now KP is questionable and Terry is out.
For the Pelicans:
Adams is questionable
Ingram is doubtful
Zion is out
Hart is out
And this just in....

Christian Clark: Pelicans say Lonzo Ball (right thumb strain) is out tonight. Looks like they’ll be down four starters. A loss means they’re officially eliminated from play-in tournament contention.
Assuming that is accurate, the Mavs should be able to take this one.

An absolute must win for the Mavs. Portland is playing a very shorthanded Jazz team and the Lakers are playing lowly Houston so the standing should look the same tomorrow morning.

I don't expect a full strength Luka tbh.
It's gotta be tough to swallow for N.O. to be down that many key players when their season is on the line. That said, this is a trap game. We will probably find a way to struggle.

James Johnson and Wes Iwundu revenge game? JJ has been starting with Zion out and logging about 20 mpg. He is averaging around 10 ppg and 6 rpg in the past five games.

Either way we gotta win and we should win.

Hey so I'm too lazy lol to look into what you're talking about with Utah being "very shorthanded" so.... What do you mean exactly? ...
Like are they resting players or are some of their starters injured? Or what? Again, I could spend time figuring this out, but I'd rather you tell me lol. Either way.... Go Fuckin Jazz Baby!!!!

The fact that we're all sweating this game against a very depleted Pelicans team suggests alot about the current state of the Mavs. The Mavs should be in such a take care of business mode. Not just in an effort to avoid the play-in, but to set the tone for the playoffs.

I could not agree more. Aaaand I'll probably catch alot of shit for this, but to me that's on Rick. Obviously I'm not there every day and none of us are, but in my opinion that sort of dynamic or variable or whatever is sort of on the coach's shoulders. Again I don't know what's really going on, but from my perspective, there seems to be a disconnect with Rick or something. Bring on the hate....
Everyone be safe and root for our Mavs!

AS of 4:30 injury report, no changes on Mavs' front. Only players listed are Porzingis (questionable) and Redick (out).

Good feeling about tonight's game.
Mavs 119
Pelicans 104
Luka reminds RC that Josh Green is on the bench. RC says "That's right! Josh Green. I forgot about that guy". Green plays 18 minutes and Casey Smith orders a full neuropsych workup for the head coach after the game.

KP man. Good grief. Just sit him until the playoffs and then bring him in off the damn bench.
He's not going to fit right into the SLU at this point with 1 or 2 games left.

If the docs say he can go, I personally think it's worth it to play him some in these last 3 games (sparingly) when needed. Like don't overplay him of course. But if we need him (and he's "OK'd by doctors) I'd rather avoid the play in. If it comes to it. Just my thoughts.

If they come out flat in a important game like tonight then RC needs to take a serious look in the mirror and ask himself should he do what Nellie did years ago and step down at years end so that the team can hear a different voice that might light a fire into them next year.
I just feel as though his laid back demeanor doesn't really work unless it's a veteran led team with guys like Dirk, Kidd and Terry who police themselves.

Yes, I agree with you completely. Look, I love Rick. I used to chant "Tell Em Rick!" during time outs and shit in the playoffs especially 2011. But my mindset has be like this for awhile ----> we got rid of our entire starting lineup except Luka, after drafting him, which to me seems to say "Hey! It's a new fuckin era here in Dallas" ... And personally I think Rick needs to go along with em. To ME it shows. Just my opinion. But just get some new blood in here is my thoughts. Find some energetic asst coach in the league that players like and hire him! Again.... I'm just a fan man. But that's what I think needs to happen (along with retooling most a LOT of our roster this off-season lol)!
And I'm looking forward to all the shit talking to me about my opinion of the team that all of us here love and support and follow! So if you wanna be a dick about what I think, go right on ahead, and my response is this..... GO MAVS!!

Honestly I have been distracted with stuff at home but this score so far is exactly what I expected of us. Not sure how we've done intricately , but so far so good score wise. A whole half to go though!

Hopefully the rookies can get some burn soon. I’d like to see Terry get on the floor. I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen him hit a 3 yet.
