That missed call aside, Gobert thought it was about time the Jazz got some whistles down low.
"Their whole game plan is to hit me on every rebound," he said Monday. "You got guys trying to box me out with the elbows out and stuff like that; grabbing me. It's their game plan."
Gobert claimed that in Utah's Game 3 loss — when he had just seven rebounds and no offensive boards — Dallas was allowed to get away with all those tactics without penalty. So he said it was a nice change to see those fouls come in Game 4. Dallas center Maxi Kleber fouled out in just 18 minutes.
"I didn't get none of those calls (in Game 3) and any time I was doing anything illegal, I was getting the foul. So I didn't think it was fair," Gobert said. "In Game 4, I got a few — not all of them — but I got a few of those calls."

There's a reason everyone hates Gobert.
edit: including his own teammates and other NBA players

Gotta love the absurdity of someone saying : "Their whole game plan is to hit me and box me out with their elbows."
Dude get real, you're big as fvck. We don't have dirty players. Rudy hooks and hammers guys down there so I don't want to hear it.
He's a professional and knows damn well our game plan includes 10 different things so....stfu, dosser.

I'm quoting this from Twitter, so excuse me if I am wrong, but @SloHoopsFan wrote that the Mavs, Suns and Grizzlies all had a chance to go up 3 to 1 in their last games. Their opponents shot 42, 40 and 42 free throws respectively. The Mavs shot 23, and had the refs swallow their whistles on a crucial Mitchell foul that led to a game changing 3 point play. The Suns only got 15 free throws while the Grizzlies got 25.
And here, I thought the Jazz was getting the extra fouls because they now have D Wade on their ownership group, and whenever the refs see him, they automatically call fouls on the Mavs, just like 2006. I'll bet they called 3 of them on Dirk. ( Yes, I'm still pi$$ed over the stolen championship.)

I personally don't think this series has been officiated as bad as some make it out to be.
The Mavs got plenty of FT's in those 1st 3 games which honestly surprised me considering Luka was out. Yet both Brunson and Dinwiddie were both up around 6-8 FT's Per game.
If anything the Mavs should have swept this series if not for bad FT shooting in Game 1 by Dinwiddie and then Powell missed GW FT's in game 4.
Mavs are at home and if they don't attack the paint like they did in games 2 & 3 then I wouldn't expect the ref's to give them any home cooking. Usually the teams that are more aggressive in the playoffs are getting to the FT Line.
Too much of the series has been about this call or that call and the end of the day Dallas blew two games because of their own doings.
With Phoenix struggling to put away New Orleans, I sure hope the Mavs realize this is golden opportunity in front of them to possibly get the WCF which none of us thought was possible coming into the playoffs.

When a team loses a game by one point, you can choose to blame any missed shot for costing the game. I don't like to single out the guy who missed the last shot, or had the last turnover, when, earlier, someone else may have blown 3 layups.
But if you do want to blame something that happened in the last minute, I'll go with the no-foul call that the NBA admits was wrong, that wiped out 3 of the Mavs 4 point lead.

Sure if you want to go that route
But those things are things you can't control right?
The things the Mavs could control was Dinwiddie's 6 missed FT's in game 1 and Powell's 2 Missed FT's in game 4.
Those are things the players control not the ref's.
And keep in mind most coaches and players will tell you they don't worry about the refs just the things that they can control.
Maybe I'm in the minority but I really don't bother getting into the officiating and that's why I very rarely mention them.
I also believe one of the biggest issues this year with the Cowboys was that they focused too much on the officiating and as opposed to doing their jobs on the field and playing through that stuff.

The only calls have been on Gobert's offensive rebounds which were clearly fouls by design for Dallas

Really calling some soft ass fouls on Dallas right now. All I ask is that you call it consistently.

Careless turnovers are the only reason this is even close. Take care of the ball. It’s embarrassing

So far it has been very bad. Not a single free throw for us in the first quarter. I am hoping things even out.

LOL
I'd much rather they stop turning the ball over then worry about calls
They have like 5-6 turnovers already which is a far cry from how they protected the ball in their two wins.

About to be up 4 and I count seven missed calls in the first quarter
We’re the only team in the league that gets jobbed both away AND at home

The main reason there needs to be multiple challenges. Bogan had 0 business shooting FTs there

We have one of the best players in the league, and a face of the future. You’d think Silver would want us to win. It’s good for the NBA and it’s viewers. Nobody cares about the Jazz or any of its players outside Utah. Let them blow it up this offseason, and let everyone continue to not care about them.

Yep
All this complaining about the ref's isn't going to change anything. Protect the ball that should be the #1 priority and box out on the defensive glass.
