THJ would be a nice fit at this time IF Game 2 is the game where he'll show up. If not, it may not be until Game 4 or 5 - you just never know.

You never know with him. The good thing is, other teams don't either but they aren't about to leave him open on the perimeter like they would with Josh. But yea, his consistent issue is that he's not consistent.

Head coach Jason Kidd offered an update on Hardaway’s recovery on May 1. He noted that he began running for the first time since the surgery, but only in a straight line. It will be three to four weeks before THJ can jump or cut, and the team offered no timetable for his return.

I think it’s safe to say he’s done for the season (which is looking like will be over in a few more games).

He's done for the season, but he would absolutely help in this series. I remain intrigued with his fit on this team next year, unless of course he's traded.

But the postseason accentuates all these things: Doncic’s usage rate has gone from 35 to 40, and so have his minutes. The ball has been in Doncic’s hands for more than half of the entire time Dallas has been on offense this series, including minutes with him off the court. (He’s held the ball for slightly more than 23 total minutes, his teammates less than 20.) In this series, Jalen Brunson’s average time per touch and average dribbles per touch have both fallen substantially from the regular season. I’m not sure Brunson’s struggles through this series’ first two games can be explained solely by him not touching the ball as often, but it can’t help. It also hasn’t helped Doncic sustain his energy levels into the fourth quarter. – via Tim Cato @ The Athletic

was listening to 105.3 the fan and they made a great point
Brunson has to have the ball in his hands in order to get the best out of him. The problem is that can't happen with Luka so they implied that Brunson maybe better off elsewhere.

But you still have to keep him unless we can get a great return on sign and trade. I know you get that, but too many people just don't.
Keep him then maybe move him at the deadline if you have to. Personally I think it can work, but you CAN'T let an asset like that walk for nothing.

That's the long and short of it right there. You can always move a bad contract if you need to, but losing your 2nd best player- which he definitely is- for nothing? That's suicide.
Also, everyone here, THE MAVS JUST TIED THE SERIES! BE HAPPY FFS!!!
Seriously, making this a 6 game series is a resounding, unqualified success. And now we have a chance to make it seven or MAAAAAYYYYYYBE even pull off the upset. I'm absolutely thrilled with this season no matter what happens. This is a great time to be a Mavs fan. Wake up and smell the coffee, y'all.

Giving this team a deep play off run could work wonders for the off season and next season.

I remember thinking the KP trade was a bad trade at the time. But I'm happy to admit I was wrong. During KP's time as a Mav when he played we had a worse record than when he didn't play, and then he was injured a lot.

Hopefully CP0 is washed and we win game 5. Winner of game 5 wins the series most likely.

Yeah, keeping Brunson is now just a matter of singing on the dotted line. There is no way Cuban lets him walk.

Err wouldn't say no way he let Tyson walk after a championship. I know he was chasing big fish but I haven't seen him be willing to pay taxes since they changed the rules. We'll see.

Actually it seems like our fans touching his mother and pushing his wife in front of his kids is what hit him hard. I want us to beat the Suns, but our fans don't need to cross the line like that. Our fans were clearly in his head, not the players as much.

It’s two games and the teenage prick didn’t hassle the mom until 2/3 of the way through the second. That’s an interesting claim that an asshole fan in game 4 made Paul crap the bed in game three
I agree that that kid is a dick that makes Mavs fans look bad but to equate the play of Paul to that seems strange

Why would one teenage kid make a fanbase look bad? Sorry, but all of that dramatization is blown up by Suns fans who are mad they lost. Kid was thrown out and will likely be banned for good. What else can you do?
It doesn't remotely take away from a great win.

My bad. I was busy, heard about it, and was told in a way in which it sounded like more than one fan. Curious how long it occurred before they threw him out.

I’m not saying it didn’t happen, but I’d like to see video of what the kid did. All I’ve seen is a video of the spoiled brat being escorted out of the arena with his mom, and Carlton Banks.. ehh Chris Paul yelling to him, “I’ll see you later”.

The new cool thing to do now days is accuse people of things before there is actual video evidence. I wanna see what happened. The nut usually doesn't fall too far from the tree so until I see video it's easier to believe the family didn't like their celebrations.

Yeah there is no video that I have seen of the actual event. I've seen Chris Paul being a b@#$% and I've seen the guy get escorted out. I haven't seen the video of the actual harassment.
Thing is, that on the video where he's escorted out, Mavs fans around him are chanting for him to go. It's a testament to how good most Mavs fans are, but also evidence that they saw something and knew he had to go.

Another cool thing to do is to become consumed/distracted about things like this. I say let those who were impacted by this incident to allow the authorities to figure it out. Ok, back to basketball!

I get what you're saying for sure. BUT, if this kid didn't do enough to warrant his face being plastered everywhere with one side of the story, then that's where I would take issue.
Again, they'll handle it properly. I just hope the truth comes out if it differs in any way from the Paul family's he said/did side. Because that's all we have heard or seen.

Not saying it couldn’t or didn’t happen, but it seems odd that some teenager would push an old lady especially with his mom (I assume that’s his mom in the video) sitting right next to him. Did Paul’s family do something to him first? The fact that the fans around him wanted him gone though makes it seem like the kid was over the line. Strange situation. Really hope video turns up of the incident just because I’m curious what actually happened.

Nope. Media milked this for all it was worth. Welcome to modern day journalism where the entire narrative is Chris Paul was bad, and his family got harassed. Not the Mavs beat their asses because they played better.

I was at the game and not a single Mavs fan was rude or poked the bear at ALL to the Phx fans. Not once. Granted, I could only see two sections, but I didn't see an ounce of disrespect. And the Phx fans were the same way back I might add. Even agreed with the one in front of me over a couple fouls on both teams we thought were dumb.
One outlier mean's zilch in the grand scheme.

I voted one game in dallas, 5 game series. Playoffs are already a success. Im super thrilled and they won yesterday exceeding my expectations for this series. Even if it goes 6, its a success.

Really cool you were able to be there for the game.
Funny thing about the video we do have is the suns fan in a jersey that says "suns in 4" at a time when its mathematically impossible

Well the Mavs took action on this and released a statement
It sounds like something did happen to that extent or else they wouldn't have made the statement they made towards the fan in question

The Dallas Mavericks announced on Monday that they have banned two "unruly fans" who "attempted to give unwanted hugs" to members of Chris Paul's family on Sunday.
The ban remains in place for the remainder of the postseason. The fans will be allowed back for Mavericks home games in 2023.
"American Airlines Center and Dallas Mavericks security and executives have concluded the investigation into the incident involving the Paul family," a Mavericks statement reads. "Two unruly fans attempted to give unwanted hugs and have conversations with members of the Paul family on the public concourse of American Airlines Center.
"AAC security responded immediately once notified by the family and the fans were swiftly ejected from the game. The fans involved in the incident will not be allowed to return to the arena until 2023."
The announcement concludes a team investigation prompted after Paul complained about fans putting their "hands on" his family during Sunday's Game 4 between the Mavericks and Phoenix Suns.

I’m also kinda curious.. did the fan know this was Chris Paul’s family? Not that it makes a difference, but just not sure how you would know.

Hopefully some courtside fans will wear t-shirts in game 6 that says something like "Free hugs here"

game 6? More like Game 5.
I'm in Arizona and I've never gone to a Suns game where at least 1/3 of the crowd wasn't wearing opposing jerseys.
Back before the Suns were good it was often 2/3.
Suns have very few fans that aren't bandwagon. Most fans are people that had to move from Milwaukee to Phoenix for a job and go to Suns games to watch the Bucks play.

I just watched the video where Paul was confronting a fan. The fan looked like a 15 year old boy and Paul was threatening him? Classy move there
