GDT game 10 Mavs at Mags
Wood is out with a knee sprain and out at least two games
THJ is questionable after slipping in our court
Davis is out
Frank is available

Here's hoping the Josh Green breakout party continues.

With THJ (likely, or at least limited) and Wood out, I'd like to see some minutes for Hardy, especially if we hit some dry spells on offense.
We should see another extended look at Green and see if that confidence can keep rising.
Big Maxi and Powell game, maybe even needing some solid minutes from McGee. DFS key to slowing Banchero down but will need help from Maxi and maybe even some key matchups with Luka on the defensive end.

Good thing Timmy made that because McGee was all alone under the hoop.

Yes, but it's way more important for Tim to get his shot going versus the 3-4 ppg McGee will give you. I'll take it.

Yeah, those early offensive stats for this team are a mirage. I'm much more worried about the offense than the defense long term.

I mean, this was a total trap game, but if Luka doesn't score over 30 point then we prob lose every game.

How much longer are we going to let Bullock play like this before benching him? We somehow have these defensive guys that just don't have a goddamn clue what to do on offense.

Gonna be optimistic
Last year we were 2 games under .500 until Christmas and then we were the best team in the league in the second half.
Hoping for that repeat but good god were hard to watch now

But remember a big part of that was Brunson blossoming into a near star in the second half of the season. This team is going to have nights of scoring droughts unless Wood can get minutes and come through there. Or THJ makes some shots. Or something...

With the weird game time, and guys hurt, I was kind of expecting a loss.
That?s before I knew Orlando would have guys out?
Thank god I had to work late today. Just ugly all around. Guess we shouldn?t expect guys to pick up the slack when Luka is off, but he deserves some blame for reverting to 11 threes. Gonna be a long season if/when he starts to show signs of wear.

They're really not that good on defense either though. Not good enough to be that bad on offense.

This was no trap game
When you lose to teams like New Orleans (without key players) and Orlando it's there's a pattern
This was typical Mavs b.s. that we've seen every year.
Luka jacks up 3's and it results in another inefficient night. It's like clockwork when he doesn't settle for 3's he plays as dominant as any player in the league
When he just goes out there and jacks them 10-12 per game you know the team is in trouble because he's just coasting.

Anyone that continues to show faith and hope in THJ after all these years of let downs is the definition of insanity
That dude is the last dude on the team I'd have confidence in

THJ should be due for a good game tonight. Or will it be Saturday? That's the problem as now one knows - nor does he. If you're a one-trick pony like THJ is (volume shooter i.e. Antoine Walker), then you have to be at least decent at it. It's painful to know that Dinwiddie and THJ basically make the same salary and 100 out of 100 people would choose Dinwiddie over THJ everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.
An OFF game for Luka is less common than an ON game for THJ. And that's sad.

Guy is making 20 mil a year. Benching him doesn't do anything to improve his trade value.
And until this game, he was actually doing some team things. He reverted back to his chucking black hole self game. Hopefully it's just because he is playing hurt.
You and maybe a few others just don't seem to get it. Unless a trade is made, then we NEED someone like THJ or Hardy to provide ball handling/offense. I'm not irrationally in love with them. You gotta use the tools you have or make a trade.

They aren't trading Tim and Tim is not changing. All you can do is hope he makes some key buckets in big games. It's the SOS.

That was painful to watch down the stretch. Luka just chucking up garbage, and nobody else besides SD can dribble the ball. Bullock has been straight trash on offense. Just toss the rook in for 5 min and see if he can get hot.

Brutal game to watch, I really think we need to re-think our starting lineups. I know Dinwiddie is there to alleviate pressure on Luka but starting both of them can really hurt rotations.
Luka
Green
DFS
Maxi
Wood
Dinwiddie - 6th man
THJ
Bull
Powell
Javale

Don't bring your logic in here!!
We have to be able to interchange our defensive stalwarts Javale and DP to set a tone!

Dinwiddie is playing well, so I'd go with Luka/Spence/Green/DFS/Wood.

Basically sums up my thoughts. Mavs can point to a number of things, but it's just excuses. Came out flat and lazy.
This team needs a 3rd ball handler. The Mavs need to play Green, Hardy, or Frank or go out and make a trade. It's not going to be Facu, he's emergency depth if things went south on the injury front. Either give the guys minutes or go make a trade. Anything else is a waste of time.
