It's time to become boldly honest with each other about THJ: the man's a damn genius! And I'm completely jealous of him as I wish that I could work part-time in my job while being incredibly inconsistent while also making $20M a year. Way to take advantage of the system, THJ! :-)

This team has lost to Den without Jokic/Murray/Gordon. Wizards without KP/Beal. Magic without Paolo.

Can't say this enough times. We're going to lose him for nothing even though he's the ideal fit next to Luka on offense. It will be the just another domino towards Luka leaving.

Meanwhile, Miami played Nikola Jovic, 19, 32 minutes last night. But hey, Hardy is too young and raw to even sniff the floor.

Jovic arguably more prepared for the NBA. We know Hardy's story, but I do get your point. I've been maddened especially when we have multiple rotational guys missing and can't find minutes for him.

This road trip is going to be rough.
Celtics, Raptors, Bucks, and then home against the Warriors
I could see us going 0-4 or 1-3 and being .500 or under by the end of that run

Can't find minutes is putting it in a very good light. Thj 0-9 and playing piss poor all around, Bullock and DFS sucking, Cwood getting 17 mins and we can't slide Hardy in anywhere? Mf clownshoes coaching.
It sucks because the rotation issue I have with Kidd is killing me on him overall. F minus grade this season.

What is so sad is that Kidd won't do it because it's an ego about being wrong. This type of stuff seems systemic in the org from Cuban down to even guys like Coop. Always gotta be the smartest guys in the room and can never admit they are wrong.
So if Kidd started Wood, plays Hardy, and it worked, then that would be admitting he was wrong. That's why he won't do it. It's not because of the betterment of the team. He knows which way the wind blows on these issues and stubbornness wins the day.
So that's fine. Keep sinking the ship with the over-reliance of Bullock/DFS/THJ. Because Luka HAS to score 30+ for us to have a chance of winning.

Just looked and Mavs were 12-21 from the free throw line. Another game that could have been won had we just shot 70% from the line.
Also had the refs called a travel on the weird half court shot at the end of the 2nd quarter. Didn?t the announcers say Denver didn?t have the same 5 guys out there that were in at the end of the 2nd?

I don?t understand how Hardy can?t get 5 min of burn when the team is struggling to make shots. If THJ is building a house of bricks why not toss the rookie in and see if he can make a few shots?
DJ killed us with 17 boards. McGee had 1 in 10 min. What a terrible signing mg he has been?

Refs were ass, but Luka has got to stfu and play sometimes. Crybaby stuff isn't getting any favors or changing calls.

Because THJ is so good defensively and moves the ball so well that he can go long stretches with tossing bricks and taking poor shots because he's producing everywhere else.

Idk what's worse the thought of Kidd having an ego issue causing rotation problems or him just not getting it as a HC.
If you're gonna a have an ego, maybe base it around fvcking winning! Idk...seems more productive.
Cuban owns the team, how does he not stroll on into Kidds office with an all staff meeting and tell them what's what. The fact that this has gone on15 games into the season with poor results would be enough for me as an owner or GM to force him to try a different approach. Kidd doesn't have the skins on the wall to have half a season of botching lineups/rotations.

You know, he did start off the season by doing some of the little things knowing his shot was going to be a work in progress coming back from injury.
Now it's just back to chuck or die.

LOL, did anyone think it was good idea to give him that contract? I remember he didn't have much interest except for the Pelicans I think? He should have gotten the MLE, or better yet let him go to the Pelicans.

I believe NOLA actually offered him more money.

The reality of THJ is this. In 2011, Jason Terry was our bench spark plug that was consistently good - if not great at times. In 2022, THJ is our bench spark plug who's incredibly inconsistent - if not terrible at times. When THJ's going 0-everything, then that's basically the same thing as turning the ball over. And the best thing that Kidd can do in those circumstances is pull him from the game and then try again the next game. Sad but true.

Part me thinks they only did the Wood trade to soften the eventual Brunson leaving blow. Not because Wood would clearly be the best big man on the roster by a mile.

That actually makes sense because nothing else does.
