"Earvin spins Magic in only appearance
------------------------------------------------------------------------
LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Former Los Angeles Lakers star Earvin "Magic" Johnson suited up Saturday for a one-game appearance in a Summer Pro League game.
Johnson played 36 minutes and had a triple-double with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. He delivered a no-look pass his first time down the floor for an assist.
Johnson's team, the Magic Johnson All Stars, had rapper Snoop Dogg on the roster. The rap star scored 10 points and had four fouls in 21 minutes of play.
Former UCLA star Ed O'Bannon scored 26 points to lead the Young Guns to a 134-130 win over Johnson's squad.
Johnson, 41, said he felt right at home playing at the Pyramid on the Cal State Long Beach campus.
"I feel good," Johnson said. "I was shakin' and bakin' and doing my thing like I normally do."
Johnson, who led the Los Angeles Lakers to five National Basketball Association titles in the 1980s, said he likely won't play in the summer pro league again.
"It's not about whether I would want to, I would love to do it, it's just my schedule is so crazy," Johnson said. "I'm running a $200 to $300 million company. I've got to do what I got to do."
Johnson retired from the Lakers nearly 10 years ago after learning he tested positive for HIV. He made two comebacks with the Lakers and briefly served as their coach before returning to business interests."
