A big thing the Mavs lacked last year was scoring depth. With Ferry, they could add a 6'10" zone busting marksman with veteral leadership. Ideally he would fit nicely into our rotation by playing any one of three different positions. At the very worst he's a situational player. He's very available and could possibly be obtained for the vet minimum.

He'd give us toughness (or dirtiness, that depends on how you classify it), however I wouldn't mind Ferry. However if I'm going to take a Duke alum, I want LAETTNER!!!!
