I am sorry but the mariners are like the mavs great team but not a true title contender. Pitching and defense win championships the yankees have both. Clemens, Pettite,Weaver, Wells, Contereras. They have the best second baseman alfonso soriano, one of the best short stops in the game derek jeter, the best closer in the game rivera and even one of the best center fielders in the game Bernie Williams. This team is set for one more world series championship.
