Rangers beat Yankees 5-4. There were three great things that happened in this game. First off- Yankees were winning 4-2 in the 7th. Rangers came back to make it 4-3. 9th inning Rafael takes a walk and sad;er reaches second base on error. Blalock hits it for a to make it 5-4. Then cordero saves the game.

A-Rod had a homer.

The Rangers are doing fairly well against the Yankees this year.

That was a fun game to watch. Cordero made me nervous there for a second, but it was a nice save for him. I'm glad to see Nivar getting a lot of at-bats, even if he's not producing much yet. He stole his first Major League base after getting walked by Wells in the first.

Nivar will be very special.....very soon. He needs this struggle time to develop confidence etc.

Doc...I've heard a bit about Nivar...can someone give me some info...preferably someone who's seen him play.

Here's a column about him in DMN that has some info. I've seen him play a little & the column's right. He really does swing at everything. But he still hasn't struck out yet (I think). There's a lot of hype & hope surrounding him & he's going to get a very hard look this season. I like him, I hope he makes it.
