INTERESTING STAT!
Do you realize that our best 3 point shooter (NASH) is 36-85 on 3 pointers this year at 42%
and Walker is 36-127 at 28% yet Walker takes an average of 5.08 3 point shots a game as composed to Nash of 3.54 shots per game...why in he$# would Nelson allow someone who shoots worse from the 3 to shoot more 3's then someone who shoots alot better from the 3?...
Finley is 35-93 for almost 38% yet even he only shoots the 3 4.42 times avg/game in 21 games...
Sounds like a real problem!
I think there is some adjustments to made don't you?

RE:INTERESTING STAT
I agree....................
When playoff time comes, watch Walker fold like he did last year. When the D gets tough and half-court offenses are ran, he'll still jack up 3's that are contested and he's off balance. His best game is driving to the bucket.

I HATE the Lakers and love the Mavs. I even like Walker OK for his heart and guts, but not his brains. I'm just not sure how he fits with our system and I HATE the point-forward philosophy/position.

RE:INTERESTING STAT
Who's looking smarter now? Danny Ainge or Don Nelson ? I hate that damn trade when it happened !! If any one actually followed the Celtics last year, Walker is the the celtic killer. Yes, he win them some games when he is hot with his shots, but he lost alot more games for the celtics than the win. That's why Ainge traded his sorry a$$. It ain't personally to Danny Ainge. Ainge is trying to improve his team by get rid of the Walker, and that is a smartest move as a GM.
Unless Nelson changing Walker's playing style and knock some sense to Walker's dumbass brian and play smart with his 3s. I don't see this team go pass the 1st round this year. We all understand that Nelly loves the point foward position, but why do we need this position. We have Nash, and it was doing fine last year.
I don't care if Walker's is wideopen for the 3s. He only can make 1/4 times, and that's the truth.

RE: INTERESTING STAT
Walker is a great player, but he definitely needs to cut back on threes. I said before he should take more when they're wide open, but no forcing them please, even when they're wide open IMO from now on.

RE:INTERESTING STAT
Lets get some facts stright here.
You have no clue what you are talking about in this post.
Danny Ainge wasn't even apart of the Celtics last year till half way through the playoff series vs NJ.
Since you followed the Celtics like you just claimed then I bet you remember the press conference on the eve of game 3 vs New Jersey where a man who had blamed Antoine for Rick Pitinio being fired on TNT
several times and had criticized Antoine every chance he got while commentating a total of approximently 5 games in a seven year span was hired as head of basketball operations for the Boston Celtics. Then Danny Ainge continued to say that he was here to turn this team around while the formentioned team was fighting for a playoff series they were down two games to 0.
Danny Ainge never gave Antoine a chance to play in this system. He was trying to trade him from the second he was hired. Antoine was not going to be on the Celtics regardless of how he ever played.
Danny Ainge was going to trade Antoine no matter what Antoine did on the court.

RE:INTERESTING STAT
We don't need Walker taking more than a couple of 3's per game on average. I'd rather live with no 3's by Walker than the parade of bricks he threw up the last 2 games. I'd rather see Walker driving to the hole more and posting up more. I like Walker, just don't want to see him shooting as many 3's.

I guess you are a die-hard Walker fan. Ainge needs to break up the team that doens't win. That is his job when he got hired. Paul Pierce is one of the top 10 players in this league. There's no way that Ainge would of traded Pierce. Walker is the only guy that would have a trade value in Boston with a huge contract. Why not get rid of his ass and rebuilt the team. The trading Walker rumors started even before Ainge was hired as a GM. Boston is my second favorite team as I lived in bean town for 4 years.
