"Unstoppable" plays of the Mavs
I know there is no such thing as an impossible play but this is a list of plays that I see the Mavs use that are very effective. Please add any that you've noticed that they should use more.
1. The Nash-Dirk pick and roll. No brainer of a play. Stockton-Malone made a living with this and it looks like Nash and Dirk have taken up the reins. Dirk and either pick and pop or pick and roll. If Nash is open, he'll hit the open shot. While the defense is concentrating on them, Jamison should cut on the weakside for an easy basket.
2. Walker at the point with Fin and Jamison setting picks for each other at the low block. It seems like those two work well together down low. Usually, Fin or Jamison will get a mismatch.
3. Turn around alleyoop. This is the one where a Mavs player looks like he's posting down low then he spins and pins the defender for a open alleyoop. Dirk and Jamison are particularly good at this.

Number 1 is my favorite. Opponents hate the pick and roll. It always work. It was our bread and butter last year. I'm very surprise that at beginning of the year, the Mavs has stayed away from the pick and roll.

4.) The High-Low play which was a trademark of Walker and Pierce. Now Walker does that with Dirk and has been successful with it EVERY TIME.

RE:"Unstoppable" plays of the Mavs
Although I've only seen it a few times, I really like the "double post" with Walker setting up in the high post and feeding Jamison in low post on the same side. Beautiful thing to watch when done properly.
I also enjoy the set they run sometimes to end a quarter with Walker at the top of the arc with the bomb squaud, Dirk, Fin, and Nash stationed around the arc and Jamison working his man to death on both sides of the bloc. They have to respect the guys at the arc which leave Twan one on one with the hapless defender about 2 feet from the bucket, and help defenders too far to double him. All Walker needs is a sliver of daylight to deliver the pass and with Jamison's hands, that close to the hoop, it's money.

RE: "Unstoppable" plays of the Mavs
One I noted last night was Walker up top with Finley & Jamison working the weave in the paint. Nice to see the Mavs really working on getting good post position. The play was effective all night.

I guess that's the point forward concept. Last night, the Mavs were effectively playing without a pg on some plays. Usually, the Damon would be on Fin or Jamison and they would just keep switching to see who Damon chooses. Walker then just gives the ball to that guy.

Mighty.... Did they play the same way in bahs-ton? Whenever I saw them it just seemed like pierce/walker were jacking it up.
