Default Mav Songs?

Moderators, feel free to move this thread where it should be. Here's the objective: change lyrics to match a song using the Mavs.

It was all the Mavs could do to keep from cryin'
Sometimes it seems so useless to stay glued
You don't have to call them great, bucko
You never even give them their earned due

You don't have to call them the Indiana Pacers
And you don't have to call them the Sacramento Kings.
You don't have to call them Minnesota, anymore.
Even though, they don't have the RINGS.

And they'll hang around as long as you will let them
And they never minded playin' in their blues.
You don't have to call them great, bucko
You never even givethem their eraned due.

The Mavs hear their names a few times on your broadcasts
And see it on signs where they play
But the only time they know, they'll hear that they're good
Is when Stern has his trophy day

Well, a friend of mine named Del Harris wrote that song
and he told me it was the perfect Dallas Mavericks' song
I wrote him back a letter and told him it was NOT the perfect
Dallas Mavericks' song because he hadn't said anything about
Nelson, or trains, or buses, or prison, or gettin' drunk.
Well, he sat down and wrote another verse to the song and he sent
it to me and after reading it, I realized that my friend had written
the perfect Dallas Mavericks' song. And I felt obliged to include it
on this album. The last verse goes like this here:

Well, Nelson was drunk the day Tarpley got outta prison.
And Harris went to sign him up to a 10 day.
But, before he could get to the station in the team bus
Tarp got runned over by a damned old train.

So they'll hang around as long as Stern will let them
And they never minded playin' in their blues
You don't have to call them great', bucko
You never even give them, I wonder why you don't give them
Why don't you ever give them their earned due

Here, cause I needed a break from grading papers...

One, two, free, four!

Well, I was three for seventeen
You know what I mean,
My jumpshots were only catching air-air
So how could I jack up another (ooh)
I never saw Dirk standin' there.
I never saw Dirk standin' there

Nellie looked at me, and I , I could see,
That before too long, I'll be sitting with hi-him..
Why don't I just jack up another (ooh)
I never saw Dirk just standin' there

Well, I could try for two
Put my lay-up through.
Hopin’ I don’t go the li-ine

Whoah, I danced through the lane,
And I tried to make a play
And before too long, I turned it o-ver
Guess I’ll have to wait to jack up another (whooh)
While you watch Dirk standin’ there

Mary that was great:

Here's some ideas I've been kicking around a little bit as titles:

I'm not going to call Donn Nelson Junior Anymore (DA Coe)
To All the 3s I've missed before (Willie singing it to Antoine Walker)
280 LB Ass (RE Keen sining to Danny Fortson)

Shawn's a real nowhere man
Grabbing bench in nowhere land
Playing zone or man-on-man for nobody

Second half: Dirk's 2 for 2
Someone to run offense through
Shouldn't he get more plays called his way?

Nowhere Mavs, please listen, we love you
But we're dissing
Layup drills opponents get again and again

Nellie can't be blind, can he?
Defense wins - it's history
Bradley can Nellie see you at all?

Nowhere Mavs, we're worried
Losing leads in a hurry
Don't D up and hope the refs will lend you a hand

Walker bricks a shot or two
Knows not where it's going to
Unlike you he cannot sink a three

Nowhere Mavs, please listen, don't we know
What we're missing?
Nowhere Mavs, this game was at your command

They're a real nowhere team
Could be great or Don's wet dream
Playing zone then man-on-man then zone again
We need Ostertag, or hell, James Donaldson
Would either get more PT than Steffanson?
