Default Notice anything funny?

Here's a look at Philly's stats from the 4 games leading up to last night:

3/14/04: @ Detroit - L 85-69
3/16/04: @ Memphis - L 82-79
3/17/04: @ New Orleans - L 104-80
3/20/04: @ Miami - L 101-69

Now, here's what happened last night:

3/22/04: vs. Dallas - W 107-98

In the 4 games leading up to last night vs. Dallas, they were averaging a measly 74.25 points per game. Versus Dallas, they, being one of the weaker offensive teams in the NBA, dropped 107 points on 54.5% shooting, including 11-18 from 3-point range. They scored almost 33 more points than their previous 4-game average against Dallas' defense. As a team, for the entire year, they average 88.4 points per game. Dallas really sucked it up last night.

Almost every team that has played Dallas lately has scored above their team average. Here's a list of a few:

3/22/04 - @Philly - Philly averages 88 (points per game) and scored 107
3/21/04 - @New Jersey - N.J. averages 89 and scored 98
3/19/04 - vs Boston - Boston averages 94 and scored 104
3/17/04 - vs Atlanta - Atlanta averages 90 and scored 111

3/13 and 3/14 vs. Phoenix and L.A. Clippers they had good defensive performances, holding their opponents to 3 and 7 below their averages, respectively.

3/11/04 - @Sacramento - Sacramento averages 103 and scored 120
3/07/04 - @Houston - Houston averages 89 and scored 101
3/05/04 - @San Antonio - S.A. averages 91 and scored 113

It's these past 4 games that have made me worry the most. Dallas' defense is going from bad to worse. There is absolutely no chance in winning a title with defensive performances like they've shown in the last 4 games. Even though they've won 2 of those last 4, their defense has still been horrible.

--I can't believe that they can even get out of the first round with "performances" like this...and, seemingly, no one else does. All of the commentators on the ESPN site (Dr. Jack, Stein, Aldridge, etc.) are coming to the conclusion that the Mavs are one and done.

Pretty freaking sad.

Out of curiosity, what is our won/loss record in those games?

Where the players had season highs, that is.

They were due March 17th. But hey, I stand to save some $$$ by only having one round of playoff tickets to pay for when summer comes.
