Would you...?
The knee jerking has commenced in NJ. They are down on Kidd and don't want to max out Kenyon...so would you (I know it would not be very easy and would take substantial "filler") trade:
KMart & Kidd (filler)
for Nash & Jamison (although I'd offer Walker first)
????

RE:Would you...?
Not me, I prefer Nash over Kidd. Not from play, but attitude and intangibles. Now (Walker or Jamison) and filler for Kenyon is a done deal for me, depending on the filler.

RE:Would you...?
I'd do the trade, but I'd prefer to do a trade of Walker for KMart and Mourning plus filler to make it work under the cap. I think that this would be good for NJ, because they'd clear a heck of a lot of cap space and get rid of Mourning's albatross of a contract. Walker would be a good fit for them since they are in the east. Walker will reisgn for considerably less than he's making becasue no GM in their right mind would give him anywhere close to his cotract now.

RE: Would you...?
It's extremely difficult to get anything to work with NJ (if Kenyon's involved) unless there's a whole lot of salary changing hands. I don't much see it happening.
Just one other note regarding the Nets: a story in the NJ papers suggests the Nets might look to move Kittles to either get help in the middle, a shooter, or a backup point - and that they might be willing to take on some long term contracts to get what they need. Made me think of Fin. Anybody have any ideas on Fin/Kittles trades that might work and be worth it for the Mavs?

Quite a while back, I thought of Martin, Kittles, and Mourning to Dallas for Walker and Finley.

RE: Would you...?
Wouldn't work, ddh. Fin and Walker combine for over 29 million in salary. NJ would have to dump about another 5.1 million in salary (depending, of course, on what Martin signed for).

Thank you. I was just using it as a general idea. I hadn't checked the money or anything.

KMart & Kidd (filler) ...for Nash & Jamison
That deal is essentially impossible cap-wise. There are Base Year players on both sides.

Judging from recent articles, I think Walker knows that now.

RE:Would you...?
Kidd an all-nba point guard and k-mart a rising star with defensive prowess over nash two time all-star and Jamison never was an all-star no brainer. Essentially two guys that couldn't play defense if their lives depended on it for two guys that can. No way New Jersey balks at this one.
