I'm interested to know how mutual it was. word is Ty might've been interested in Stanford & Washington while they're available, and Notre Dame is interested in Meyer while he is possibly available. So it might have been an understanding that both parties were unhappy, and ready to move on.
I sure hope they find someone who can turn it around

i think the thing that bothered the alumni is that they could beat good teams one week, lose to a terrible team another, and then just get embarrassed the next week. His problem was incosistency, he showed the same thing at Stanford, and I guess the alumni wasn't confident that giving him 2 more years was worth risking fading further out of the picture.
