I saw it and liked it quite much. The camera work of the west was stupendous. I'm not sure I've seen the west filmed like that before.
It was quite reminiscient of the last quarter of Lonesome Dove when Woodrow Call drug Augustus's McCraes body from Montana to Austin for burial.
Same sort of individual keeping his word to an old friend for honors sake. Woodrow didn't go quite as crazy as TLJ did in this one, but still went a little nutty.
EDIT: I'm big on redemption in people, so having the guy at the end understand why they were doing what they were doing was good as well. He got redemption by his works.
