Did anyone hear the tension on the Ticket?
Man that was pretty intense. I haven't heard Gordo do a confrontation that intense since the Rocco Pendola incident.....

Gordo confronting Norm about Norm's picks. It started out innocently enough until I think Norm had enough and started to confront Gordo about some of his on-air shenanigans. Gordo didn't back down and kept hounding him about why he continues to do picks when he "basically goes 50-50". He got Norm to admit he gets money for them, but then confused the whole thing by saying the picks are posted free on his website. It was pretty uncomfortable listening..... Junior salvaged it by telling them to take it off-air and they completed the show-turnover...

It was extremely tense. I’m surprised Norm was able to pull it together so quickly because he was really upset. Fredo tried to jump in before it got to that point but once Gordo gets going, there's not stopping him.
To those that didn't hear it, Gordo was basically saying that Norm adds no value by picking games because, in the long run, a coin flip would be just as accurate.

I didn't hear it and I'm guessing Gordo was probably a jerk, but he does have a point....Norm's picks do seem to fair pretty poorly most of the time.

Probably. At first I was thinking it would be Emergency Brake material but then it just got worse..... so I think they may attempt to forget it. But maybe I'm wrong....

Holy crap.... sorry I missed that.
No matter how you feel about Norms picks, Gordo's got no right to sit there and disrespect Norm on the air. (IMO)

Yeah.... to me it was obvious that this was pent up frustration they both had towards each other that just culminated in todays exchange. Very awkward.

I think that was Norm's main problem with it. He said at one point that he doesn't believe in attacking his co-workers on the air. At the very least, Gordo should have him a heads up in advance so that Norm could prepare a defense. As it was, he kinda ambushed him.
Still, it was riveting radio.

BaD radio referenced it. They even had Gordo on the air during their show. Not for that reason, he just popped on to give them grief, but they did mention it.
He sounded like he felt bad about it.

Anybody listening to BAD radio? In response to an e-mail wondering why the Musers can replay every conflict except their own, Bob and Dan replayed Monday's mix.
Then about halfway though it; Tom gets a call instructing them to bail out. Further proof they’re trying to sweep this thing under the rug.

Wow. That's interesting.
That sucks that they're doing this. Airing stuff like this is what makes the Ticket great.
Although, I don't see why management would tell them not to play it. I bet Norm is the one not wanting it played.

Screw them for jerking me around like that. I was disappointed to have missed it the first time, so I stopped down to listen to the replay. Then to cut it off just as it was getting good? That's brutal!
I have a good mind to write and complain.

I didn't hear the failed replay today..... but Gordo has commented on it on his website:

This is fun. I have heard all kinds of rumors about something that happened on Bob and Dan today. They wanted to replay an argument that happened with Norm during Monday’s crosstalk and I understand they started it then stopped and went to commercial.
Many people emailed me calling for Norm’s head on a platter for censoring the Ticket. Some blamed me, including Greggo (which I really don’t understand Greggo’s bizarre behavior on this- He never talked to me), and others blamed Cumulus Media Partners, the company that purchased our former company in May.
Well I know for damn sure I never demanded that it be quashed. I didn’t think Norm would. I talked to our manager to get his take on it. He says it was his decision to not replay it because he thought it was unfair to all involved. I undermined Norm, Norm undermined me, and Friedo undermined us both and he felt that it shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
He certainly has the authority to make such calls. Several people say this is the beginning of the end because the Ticket has never suppressed information or denied a replay. This is patently untrue. The Ticket has not replayed several things based on the station’s best interest, people sensitivities, or the fact that we could simply do something better with the airtime (debatable). The truth is that any Ticket host could reasonably request that something be kept off the air and we all would abide by it. The team’s harmony is worth alot more than any short-lived thrill of dishing dirt on someone.
To the Ticket’s credit we come off as “everything is an open book” however, you notice we don’t attack each other’s families, talk about each other’s medical conditions, or undermine each other’s basic credibility. That is what that argument between Norm and I became- undermining credibility and therefore Ticket-destructive. I know we could debate this a hundred different ways, but the bottom line is that the Ticket is a good friend to the P1 that doesn’t always please, but we all stick with it because 95% of the time it is the best friend we could hope for on the radio.
Now curve it.

Norm is worthless and makes me want to drive head on into oncoming traffic when I hear his voice. Gordon was not in the wrong to say that the coin had a better probability than Norm in picking games. Norm was offended because it was true. He should have taken it like a man instead.

Yea I heard it, extremely tense. Gordo really would get on my nerves that's for sure. He's basically just out there to throw a monkey wrench in everything. I couldn't follow what in the world Gordo was bitching about, I may have come in late.
Even the engineering crew jumped in on Gordo.

Hmm...interesting quote from gordo.

Now why would Greggo talk to gordon before talking about him on the air, why jump him like that.

Gordo had developed a reputation as the Ticket's fire starter (and rightfully so) but in this case it was Jub who lit the match around the gas spill.
Norm was actually laughing as Gordo was throwing out the theory that his picks were no more reliable than a coin flip. The tone changed when Jub accused Frido of paying his light bill with Norm's picks.
