Just posted an audio report with some interesting stuff from both teams' practices (yes, we have spies in Utah!). Nellie and team very upbeat, workout included a 15-minute fullcourt full-speeder (unusual day before game) and coolest of all, Nash quote -- and this might be a heck of a thread or four: "We're the better team. They're more experienced. But we're better.''

the mavs are definitely the more talented team..and the mavs play very well together.
but, i think we'll see who the better team is throughout this series trust me, i hope it's the mavs... |

If the Mavs shoot the ball that horrible, rebound horrible, give up tons of easy buckets, and still almost win the game... Im excited about tomorrow night. They are better than that!

18 assists from Stockton, an off night for Dirk, and a horrible call or two added to our two point loss as well. If the Mavs don't get rattled, I think we are still in decent shape...

The Mavs certainly don't lack confidence do they? Now if they can show that confidence int the game Tuesday night we should be in great shape.

No they don't. Let's hope that Dirk breaks out of his slump. I will laugh if the Mavs win tomorrow night. I get such pleasure watching the Jazz lose. I will visit their board daily to read their whining. Lets hope it happens!

we have to have a confident dirk and a decent shooting finley to make it through this round. yes, everything else is fairly important...the mavs have even proved they can win while not rebounding well...but dirk needs to play with confidence and finley needs to hit some more shots...let's get them involved early for a change.
screw feeding the ball to juwan every other time down the court, let's get the main two scorers involved early. nash will get his drives and open looks..let's get fin and dirk going |
