Jazz in 6.
Boozer will dominate down low and control the glass.
Deron-Baron is a great matchup Besides Billups though, Deron is probably the best PG to go against Davis because of his size and strength. You can't expect BD to shoot 46% from three either.
Jazz will pick-n-roll and screen them to death, making them work very hard on the defensive end, something Mavs couldn't do.

Golden State in six. Too much athleticism for Utah to deal with and too good a home crowd.

Jazz sweep. If GS wins 1 game they're taking the series. Frankly, I don't believe the hype yet.

Jazz in 6. Boozer will average 30+ points a game, and Deron Williams will have his coming out party.

Well, some of us think it was more about what Dallas did to themselves.

Jazz in 5...All the emotion pent up in Golden State was used against Dallas. Just like Dallas when we beat Utah during our first playoff run with Nelson. Sacramento wiped us out on the next series...so will Utah will wipe out Golden State. We will all be amazed at how easy Utah will take care of Golden State. Prepare to shake your head in disgust...

It was actually San Antonio, but the point is still valid.

GS destroyed utah twice in the regular season. i wouldn't be surprised if the Warriors win in 6. they are a deeper and Utah are known to struggle with guards who are quick and can shoot.

Amen, brother. This attitude blows my mind. I mean, who would these same guys have said at the outset had a better chance of beating Golden State? I'm about 100% certain they'd have said Dallas.
Thiggy says it's what we did to ourselves, not what they did. This isn't golf, Thiggy. In this game, the opponent is allowed to punch back.
I'm trying hard to figure out why anyone would pick Utah at all in this series, much less in something like five games.

Talk to me after the series is over.
I realize they did some things to disrupt us, but the fact of the matter is they shot the ball the same as they did during the regular season. We played like crap and got beat accordingly.

I am shocked at the disrespect for the Warriors.
Check this boxscore:
http://www.nba.com/games/20070409/UTAGSW/boxscore.html
I have no idea who'll win this series, but Utah's gotta play outta their mind to win.

Believe me it's not disrespect. It's styles make fights and Utah matches up well with small ball teams.

Warriors in 6. Boozer will dominate, but that'll be it for the Jazz.

Either of these teams is going to get owned by the Spurs in the WCF, so this series really doesn't mean much.

The WCF was supposed to be the most exciting series in the playoffs. Man, this year's playoffs is a huge letdown.

I'm not even willing to give much of a chance against the Jazz... much less the Spurs
GS will have to continue to play out of their minds to stay in this thing

The Jazz are a non-factor. It took the Jazz seven games against Houston to advance. The Dubs only needed six against the Mavs.
Give me the Dubs to win the series.

The Dubs will beat the Jazz, but they will be lucky to not get swept against the Spurts.

I think Utah could give Spurs real problems due to the way their play and with Boozer inside. GS may struggle against the spurs but they could get a few games off them on pure energy and shooting well.
spurs are favourites but it won't be easy and me thinks they could be pretty tired by the time they face the Pistons who i expect to win the east.

The reason I think Jazz will sweep is because Avery Johnson is not coaching the Jazz. I don't believe the Jazz are going to go into this game and try to run with the Warriors. Jazz play pretty good defense. Okur and Kirilenko struggled for most of the Rockets series. I think they've gotten their bad play out of the way. It took Stephen Jackson to play out of his mind in order for the Warriors to beat the Mavs. That wasn't the primary reason though. But Stephen Jackson is one of the streakiest scorers in the NBA. I'm willing to bet he doesn't have a good series.

This will be a good chance to see if the first round was more about bad mavs O or good dubs D--the jizz don't rely nearly as much on 1-1 basketball on the offensive end as the mavs and they move the ball way better than the mavs. Also, Boozer ought to be able to own whoever they put on him.
.... I'll take the jazz by a nose.

I'm really interested to see this series. It will tell us a lot about the Mavericks. Were the Warriors that good? Did Nelson just know how to beat Dallas? How will a good post player like Boozer play? How will the Warriors defend Okur- similar to Dirk? How will Baron play? If the Warriors do end up dominating this series and manage to take Boozer out of the offense, then do we really need to look for a post player this summer? If the Jazz dominate as well as Boozer, I think that gives us a green light to find a post player. So many questions whose answers can tell us where to go in the future, IMO.

i think utah will win in 6 or 7, they match up much better with small ball teams than we do or than they did against houston. whoever wins the first away game will take the series home. gs will/would almost get swept against the spurs though. utah would atleast go 5 or 6 against the spurs.
