DallasBasketball.com IS owned by the Mavericks
I have to be honest, I simply dismissed the comments I've read that Fisher is paid by Cuban and the dallasbasketball.com site is owned by him. Even after I was told that the site was getting special treatment by the Mavericks organization at Cuban's request, I figured that Mark and Fish just went back to the time when Fish was in radio and Cuban had just bought the Mavs.
However, I decided to do some digging, and, holy cow, the domain is owned by the Mavericks. I don't know who Ken Bonzon is (it is probably a Mavericks webmaster), but Dallas Basketball LTD is the Mavericks corporate name. It is most often used with their athletic gear and Mavericks merchandise, but the Mavericks themselves are under Dallas Basketball LTD only using a DBA. As it is, the address is one of the Mavericks corporate addresses, and Bonzon's email address is within the Dallas Mavericks domain:

Sorry, I'm new. It makes me wonder why more people didn't call Fish out then for breaking stories when he's basically part of the organization?

Okay, his site is owned by the Dallas Mavericks, but he isn't part of the organization?

The only thing you actually know is that the domain name is controlled by the Dallas Mavericks. Beyond that you have absolutely no idea who pays whom for what, and how anyone gets their info.
If they're actually on the Mavs payroll, wouldn't you expect a slightly better looking site?

Mavs might pay for the bandwidth (or not). I would be shocked if fish gets any dollars from cubes.

In fact can you imagine the types of advertisers being on there if it was mav owned and operated.
I mean wildaboutharrys, DrBrownChiropractic and the others when you log in.

Not to mention that it's just a horrific site, aesthetically speaking. They're using bulletin board software that's about 5 years out of date. I know 15 year olds that could setup a site with forums that would look a million times better than that.
